Chapter 29:Portals

Brooklyn spun her pole before taking a single step back and lunging forward towards Bruce. "I must take that back for Master Lilith so please surrender now or else." She'd swing at Bruce.

Bruce would drop into a portal before he'd suddenly leap out of another one towards Brooklyn throwing a kick towards her.

Brooklyn would hold up her arm blocking the attack. "So that's your ability?" Brooklyn would swing her arm sending the man back. "Now that I know what it is." She'd sprint forward. "I can defeat you."

As she spoke Bruce opened up another portal causing Brooklyn to run into it. The white haired woman would suddenly drop down slamming into the roof of a nearby building. "My ability has more uses than you though of." Bruce spoke checking the tube to make sure it was ok. "Anyway if all you can do is hand to hand combat then." He'd look down as several metal pipes shot out of the ground. "Oh you can do that." Bruce leapt away into another portal avoiding the pipes as they would attack him.

Brooklyn would sit down to think as the pipes continued to attack wildly. "How can I defeat an opponent who can send me wherever he wants?" Brooklyn would look at the metal boots and legging she had on. "Well if I want to move faster than he can keep up." Brooklyn would remove the rest of her gear. The only things she had on was her white skirt and long sleeved shirt. She'd leap off the building landing in front of Bruce. "Alright. Round two."

Bruce would sigh. "It looks like you don't learn from your mistakes. You can't touch me."

Brooklyn would sprint much faster than before running in a circle around Bruce who'd look around extremely confused.

"Huh!? When did you get this fast?!" He'd yell in shock opening portals to try an catch her off guard.

Brooklyn would continue to circle around the man avoiding each portal before stopping when she's behind him. "I told you to surrender." She slammed her pole into his back before leaping over him and grabbing the tube. As she landed she'd thrust the pole backwards and slam it into Bruce's stomach. "There. I did it Master Lilith." She'd walk off back to the base.

Meanwhile in the castle Sander stood over a collapsed Milo and Breaker sighing. "You really don't understand do you? You can't beat me and I will get the second eye. It belongs to me."

Nitro, Leonidas, Lucy, and Eric walked around the castle extremely confused about where they'd find their friends.

"Hm." Nitro tapped his Avancer calling Lilith.

"Nitro! You're okay!" Lilith yelled in excitement. "Yay!"

"Yeah. So how's everything going over there?" Nitro asked. "We're fine here we just can't find Milo or Breaker."

"Okay and everything here is alright. Oh and also if you see Sander. DO NOT FIGHT HIM!" Lilith would yell.

Leonidas would join into the video call looking at Lilith. "I'm gonna fight him if I see him first."

"Leonidas if you do I will kick you out of the Society." Lilith glared at Leonidas.

"I NEVER EVEN WANTED TO JOIN YOU FORCED ME TOO!" Leonidas began to yell.

"WE WILL TALK ABOUT THIS WHEN YOU GET BACK AFTER NOT FIGHTING SANDER!" Lilith would yell back at him.

Nitro would hang up shaking his head. "Are you even sure you have enough energy left to fight Sander? I mean we don't even know about everything he can do."

"Nah nah nah. It's fine." Leonidas would begin to wave his hand at Nitro before the group would arrive at a four way split hallway.

No one in the group would answer before each one would walk down a separate hall thinking the others were following behind them.

"GUYS?" Eric yelled loudly looking around the hall. "Oh we all weren't going down the one furthest on the right? Damn. Well to late now." Eric continued to walk when in fact he was on the path furthest left.

Each person continued to walk unaware of what waited or who waited for them ahead.

Sander continued to whistle looking at his Avancer. "Bruce isn't answering. He lost? Oh well. If I have to I'll go back and get it myself."
