Chapter 113

Taiga sat down and crossed her arms while staring at Catherine appearing to be slightly frustrated with her. "Cathy?"

"Yes?" Catherine raised an eyebrow while staring at Taiga.

"Why are you still here actually?" Taiga bluntly asked her while her expression remained unchanged.

"Uhh." Catherine paused for a second and began to cough. "Where are the others actually now that I think about it?"

"Don't try and change the subject Catherine." Taiga demanded starting to become a bit more frustrated.

"Well. I just uhm." Catherine began to fix her glasses while trying to figure out what to say. "I just kind of missed you."

"Uh huh." Taiga began to nod seeming a bit suspicious of her. "If you say so. How did you find out I was here?"

"I kind of may have sort of tracked your Avancer." Catherine spoke a bit faster while glancing away.

Immediately Taiga jumped out of her chair and grabbed Catherine by her shirt, lifting her up with one arm while her other transformed to become a bear's. "You what?!"

"I was just a little curious!" Catherine shouted while glancing at the bear arm Taiga had. "Just calm down a bit!"

"You tracked me down! How can I just calm down!" Taiga threw a punched aimed at Catherine's face.

"It was out of love!" Catherine tilted her head to the side to avoid the punch. "I promise."

"That's not love!" Taiga shouted while continuing to try and hit Catherine in the face only to fail each time. "Hold still dammit!" Taiga's arm returned to normal as she threw another punch only for Catherine to dodge it again.

"You aren't fast enough to hit me you know." Catherine yawned. "So can you put me down now?"

"I know I'm not." Taiga responded. "But I know how to use my ability." When Catherine tried to move she noticed she couldn't and began to struggle. "Human sized spiderwebs are just as thin but much stronger." She slammed her fist into Catherine's stomach, causing her to gasp for air.

Catherine widened her eyes, even if it was just her normal hand Taiga's strength was still immense. "I see...your strength hasn't decreased..." She managed to speak between her gasps for air.

"That's what you get for invading my privacy." Taiga cut the webs and crossed her arms letting Catherine fall to the ground.

"Yeah I probably deserved that.." Catherine grabbed her stomach in pain while looking up at Taiga. "But I was being genuine when I said I missed you."

Taiga glanced down at Catherine and rolled her eyes. "I guess it's nice to know that you still care."

"Aww. That's cute." Maci clapped her hands while she sat in the fire place completely naked.

"..Maci what are you doing?" Taiga turned around to look at her.

"Oh. I didn't feel like using energy to he at myself up so I'm just using the fire." Maci shrugged. "I'm immune to it so why not?"

"...Alright?" Taiga shook her head while walking off leaving Catherine on the floor.

Meanwhile Leonidas and Kagura were hanging around the nearby frozen lake. Leonidas had shattered the ice on the surface so all that remained was ice cold water, which he swam in.

"Are you gonna join?" Leonidas looked up at Kagura from the water.

"Why would I want to swim in ice cold water exactly?" Kagura tilted her head as she looked back down at him.

"Because swimming in water like this kind of relaxing and you should experience it too." Leonids reached up  for Kagura's left while she flapped her wings above the water.

"Fine." Kagura began to float down into the water starting to shiver when she was submerged.  "It's alright I guess." She quickly turned to the side and saw Cain sitting by the lake. "Someone's waiting for you."

Leonidas swam over to Cain and climbed out the lake. "You remember that favor we talked about before?"

"Yeah." Cain nodded while he watched Leonidas. "I had to come all this way for it so what is it?"

"Where is my mother?" Leonidas's expression suddenly become serious while he looked at Cain.

Cain let out a loud sigh while beginning to scratch his head. "That's gonna be a long story and I'm not telling it out here so lets go." The two walked off back to the house.

"Hey!" Kagura shouted while she climbed out the water to follow the two. "Don't just leave me like that!" When she caught up to the two she wrapped her arms around Leonidas and whispered. "I'll be sure to get you back for that."
