A few days later while Leonidas was asleep he slowly opened up his eyes. "..Huh?" He paused for a second in shock as hanging above his face were Taiga's breast. "Taiga what are you-"

"Shhh!" Taiga had cut him off before he could finish. "Shhh...just go back to sleep." She covered Leonidas's mouth before he could speak.

While during the long period of separation most of the group decided to stay within the country some had decided to leave for their time. An example of this was Ember and Adalina who had decided to return their home country.

The two had been staying in a small town that was some distance from capital for the time being.

Ember was sitting on the bed in her room with a pencil and notebook when Adalina walked into the room. "Oh hey Adalina!" Ember began to smile. "Where have you been?"

"I had some errands to take care of." Adalina walked over to Ember and looked at the page the notebook was on. "What are you doing?"

Before Ember could even respond Adalina took the notebook and saw throughout its pages Ember had several drawing of Adalina and several others like Leonidas, Brooklyn, Taiga, Nitro, and so on. "I didn't know you could draw." Adalina flipped through the pages. "You're pretty good."

"Huh? Oh thank you!" Ember glanced towards the ground. "My power just involves so much destruction that for once I thought I'd try to create something. You know?"

Adalina began to smile and ran her hand through Ember's dark purple hair. "I'm glad you found a new hobby to pick up while we've been traveling. I'm also glad you got rid of that look in your eyes."

Ember paused for a second. "Huh? What look in my eyes?" She turned to the mirror and began to stare at her reflection. "Hm."

"Not like that." Adalina shook her head. "It's not something that you could see yourself." She kneeled down to be at eye level with Ember. "It was something I noticed about you and Brooklyn when I first met you both."

Ember stared into Adalina's eyes in dead silence while she explained.

"You both had an empty look in your eyes." Adalina began to speak. "You both looked as if you were longing for...something."

Ember winded her eyes as Adalina spoke. Tears slowly began to trail down her face. "W-what?"

"To be honest I spent the longest time trying to understand why you had that look in your eyes." Adalina began to notice the tears. "But once I saw Brooklyn's joy to be around Nitro I understood." She wiped the tears away from Ember's eyes. "They were the eyes of someone who wanted something they lost back. Brooklyn felt empty without Nitro and you wanted companionship."

Ember continued to remain silent as more tears began to drip down her face.

"I noticed that look was gone for a while but I never understood until recently why it was gone." Adalina pulled Ember into a tight hug while she began to cry loudly. "It's ok Ember. It's ok."

Ember continued to sob loudly while Adalina began to pat her back. I've always wanted to thank you! Everyone always thought I was some sort of monster or cursed child and shunned me...but you..you saw me as another human being Adalina. Not some burden you had to deal with...thank you...thank you so much! She thought to herself but was too busy crying to actually speak.

Adalina continued patting Ember while her crying slowly stopped. "Better?"

Ember began to nod as she looked up Adalina beginning to smile again. "Thank you."

"Eh?" Adalina tilted her head. "For what? I mean I know I'm amazing and all but I haven't done anything for you recently."

"For getting rid of that empty look in my eyes." Ember immediately responded. "It's all because of you."

"...You don't need to thank me Ember." Adalina responded as she let her go from the hug. "I'm just happy I was able to help you."
