Chapter 57

As they flew back Leonidas turned his head to notice that everyone was sitting as far as they could except Taiga who was right next to him.

"Is this really necessary?" Leonidas would watch.

"Very." Nitro would call out. "After that none of us are taking any chances until we see Lady Andere."

"Mhm." Everyone else would nod in agreement.

Leonidas would shake his head then glance towards Taiga. "Why aren't you scared like them?"

"You're my little brother idiot. That's why." She'd put her bandaged hand on his head.

"I'm sorry about your hand Taiga." Leonidas would grab her hand.

"Not Taiga. It's big sis!" She'd begin to smile messing with his hair.

"So...anyone else wonder how she can be so comfortable around him?" Adalina would stare in shock.

"Oh. That's simple." Nitro would turn to her. "Taiga was an orphan and Leonidas is the first real family member she has. Just like how Leonidas lost his family and Taiga sort of filled the void." Nitro would look back in their direction. "I guess it's that way with my master or Brooklyn and I."

Adalina would nod. "I guess that makes a bit of sense."

Lilith would tap her Avancer having just finished a call. "Well Andere knows we're on the way." She'd sigh. "Hopefully she can explain this."

After a while the manta would land outside Andere's mansion. Leonidas would walk in. Shortly after Andere would fall from the second floor slamming down onto Leonidas.

Leonidas would stand up dusting himself off. "What the hell?"

"Shut up." Andere would respond looking around. "So what exactly happened?" As Lilith explained Andere would nod her head slowly. "Oh. Leonidas awakened his aura."

"Awakened his aura?" Brooklyn would tilt her head becoming interested in the conversation.

"Yes." Andere would nod yelling. "Maci!" She'd yell before turning back to the others. "Well when a Dotato is put into a certain situation their aura will enter a new level an "awakened" form. Leonidas's father's aura in it's awakened form was able to kill anyone weaker them him. I uh.....I'm not sure how Leonida's became what it is now. It's a bit weird."

"So mine awakened because of my rage?" Leonidas would begin to think.

"Exactly everyone's awakening is different." Andere would point to Maci.

"Hiiii!" Maci would wave at the group. "Hi Rex!"

"I hate you so much." Rex would respond.

"Maci focus!" Andere would sigh shaking her head. "Show them you're awakening."

Maci would nod. "Sir yes sir!" Maci would hold up her hands surrounding them in flames. "My normal power and now my awakening." Maci would become surrounded in a red aura as the ground began to shake everyone in her room beginning to feel her power drastically rise. The flames in her hand would fade away before her hands would suddenly become lava. "Tada! I can now use lava. Cool right?"

The group would stare in amazement nodding.

Maci's aura would fade away as her hands returned to normal. "Awakening aura will make your attacks much stronger but it drains your energy much."

Andere would nod. "Well that's it anymore questions?"

Lilith and the others would shake their head no before they'd leave.

The next day Leonidas and Nitro would have been doing pushups outside. Kagura and Taiga sitting on Leonidas's back while Brooklyn and Lilith were on Nitro's.

When they were done Leonidas look at Nitro. "I don't gat why you're tired." He'd begin to speak. "Lilith has the least weight on the four of them for obvious reasons."

Lilith would become surrounded in a purple aura.

"Ha." Brooklyn would smirk.

"But I guess Brooklyn evens it out since she's weight without the metal." Leonidas would continue.

Brooklyn would go silent and walk to Leonidas slamming her fist into his head slamming him into the ground causing several cracks to form. "....."

"Alright alright!" Leonidas would look up. "Relax. If you're gonna fight me at least let me use a weapon too. Big sis."
Taiga would leap into the air and transform into a red katana as Leonidas caught her. "Not a serious fight just a quick sparring match."

Brooklyn would grab and begin to spin her pole. "Fine with me."

The two would dash forward and seemingly pass but in the split second they swung at each other Brooklyn's pole would split into two pieces.

Brooklyn would look at her pole. "Well it was only a matter of time." She'd glance to Leonidas. "You're taking me to buy a new weapon."

"And you're taking me shopping for offending me." Lilith would cross her arms.

"You also owe me for missing our date." Kagura commented. "....I'm also bringing Maci since she likes this sort of stuff."

"And I'm your big sister so you owe me for all those years I raised you!" Taiga would jump in.

Leonidas would suddenly have a look of misery on his face. "Alright. Guess we're going to the mall then."
