Chapter 64

The next morning the members of Griffe were eating their breakfast when Taiga walked out and pulled up Leonidas's eyepatch and gave the scar a quick kiss.

Ember and everyone would go silent staring at the two except Nitro and Erick who continued eating as if nothing is happening.

"You forgot to take your pain killers today." Taiga said smiling as she walked off.

Nitro would take a sip of his water while Brooklyn turned to him.

"How is that still normal?" She said raising an eyebrow.

Nitro would shrug. "It just is." He'd say continuing to drink his water.

Ember would snap back into reality. "Anyway." She'd look around. "Anyone have any plans for today?"

Everyone would look around at each other in silence.

Lucy would begin to speak. "Well Brooklyn and I are training."

"I'm gonna work on the new garden." Erick would comment. He would then stand and walk away mumbling "Fertilized soil."

Lilith would look around. "....Wait what? When did we have a garden?"

"We don't." Adalina would respond. "He's using his ability to make a garden for some reason."

Lilith would go silent and sigh. "I really don't care anymore. You guys can do what you want as long as you don't destroy my stuff."

About an hour after Leonidas was walking through the city he bumped into a woman who stood slightly taller than him. She was of a slightly tan skin color. She had markings on her face they weren't tattoos but appeared to be face.

"Sorry little boy." She spoke with a very thick accent. She'd pause for a moment tilting her head. "Oh. You're Leonidas."

"Yeah and who are you?" Leonidas responded.

"I'm Ayita Nagata." She'd continue to speak. "I'm one of what your country calls The Twelve Miracles."

"So I'm guessing you aren't from here?" Leonidas nodded.

"Yes." Ayita nodded. "I'm from Magaka down south."

Leonidas would continue to nod. "Makes sense."

Leonidas would hold out his fist.

Ayita would tilt her head sightly confused. "Oh...uh..." She'd fist bump him.

"See you at the tournament." Leonidas would walk off.

"Of course." Ayita would smirk.

As Nitro walked he'd turn to see a man walking towards him. "....Eh?"

The man would stop standing taller than Nitro. He had a very muscular physique with short black hair and a full beard.

"You're Nitro right?" The man looked down at him.

Nitro stared at the man. "Uh yeah.
You are?"

"I'm Andrew. One of the Twelves Miracles. I'm just getting used to the city and doing some sight seeing before the up coming tournament."

Nitro would begin to nod slowly. "Ah alright. Well I hope I get to fight you at the tournament."

Andrew would nod walking off . "I'll see you there."

A few hours later Leonidas would walk into the building. "Look at what I got." He'd pull up his shirt revealing a butterfly

Brooklyn would stare at him. "That tattoo can't hide your sad excuse for abs."

"...." Leonidas would go silent.

"The meaning behind that is kind of dark." Ember would begin to speak.

"Eh?" Brooklyn to turn to her.

"It means when he dies he can spread his wings in hell."

"Exactly." Leonidas would comment.

Andere, Maci, and Kagura would walk in.

Andere would stare at Leonidas her eye twitching. "......." She'd begin to breathe heavily. "You're...so uneven...."

"I don't see what you mean." Leonidas would stare at her.

"There, there, there, and there." She'd begin rapidly pointing at his tattoos. "It annoys me so much." She'd growl. "Anyway I came to invite you guys to my temple."

"....Why do you have a temple?" Nitro would stare at her.

"Why not?" She'd shrug.

Leonidas would stare at his stomach.

Taiga would pat him on the head. "Everyone's a little chubby on the inside."

"I'm harder than steel." Leonidas responded. "It isn't fair."

"I still love you the same." Taiga responded.

Leonidas grabbed his sword and started tapping it against his stomach. "See?!"

"Just gotta do them sit ups." Brooklyn commented.

"Yeah!" Maci would yell holding her thumbs up.

"It's ok." Taiga would pat Leonidas's stomach. "That's why I use it as a pillow at night."

"......." Leonidas would walk off mumbling. "I love you too sis."
