When the group got back to the house Maci had everyone sit around a table while she began to open up files on her avancer and set down several books. "Alright." She started before Taiga immediately interrupted.
"Hold on just a second!" Taiga held up a to go container from the restaurant they were at. "I have to give Leo his food. It took a while for them to make because he's picky about what he wants." Taiga slid the container over to Leonidas.
"It's not my fault." Leonidas grabbed the container. "Thank you big sis." Leonidas opened the container and grabbed a burger from it. When he took a bite the others noticed a red liquid dripping from it.
"Is that burger raw?" Catherine asked in disgust while glancing away.
"Not raw just rare." Leonidas took another bite and swallowed. "It adds to the flavor of it anyway."
"...Anyway." Maci began to speak again. "When I was doing research on Leo's clan I learned a few interesting things. Like!" Maci began to read from a book. "The black substance that member's of the white clan start to throw up is part of a purification process...their body is preparing itself to 'evolve' into what we call their 'true form' where their powers will become even greater than before." Maci looked up from the book. "Do you get what I mean?"
Taiga and the others nodded slowly while turning to Leonidas who was in the middle of eating.
"So this is how your clam obtains it's immense amount of power." Kagura began to think. "Interesting."
"There's more." Maci continued reading. "Those who are unable to take control of their newly found power are driven into a state of blind rage and insanity."
Taiga's face grew pale as Maci finished her sentence. She started to shake slightly before steading herself and nodding. "Meaning something like the massacre that happened years ago."
Leonidas saw Taiga's expression and wrapped and arm around her to try and calm her down. "It's okay sis."
Taiga immediately began to hug Leonidas while still shaking slightly and nodding. "Right."
Maci shut the book close and looked at Taiga and Leonidas. "So other than you throwing that goo up as anything else happened recently?"
When Leonidas swallowed another bite from his burger Taiga opened up his mouth and pointed to fangs. "These came in."
Maci nodded and began to write down what Taiga said. "Ok ok...anything else?"
Taiga grabbed and pulled off Leonidas's shirt and pointed to the scales which spread even further along his body. At this point they had gotten to the split of his chest. "This."
Maci paused for a second in utter shock and had nothing to say. All she could do was nod and continue to write. "I've done research on what this means..." She began scratching her head with the pen. "Uhh." She began to flip through books. "All of that basically means that the process is continuing without any real problems or interferences." Maci looked up from the book. "Not sure if this is good or bad then..."
"Well it doesn't look like he's going crazy." Catherine shrugged as she leaned back in her seat. "So I think this is all pointless."
When she turned to the side she saw Taiga glaring at her. Her eyes looked as if they were filled with pure rage. "Cathy...I suggest you should keep quiet with your opinion right now."
Catherine went silent and simply nodded at Taiga as she looked down at the ground. "Alright."
Maci began tapping her pen against the table. "Well...for now we can't do much except wait for more to happen." She tapped her pen one last time and smiled. "I think he'll be fine though."
Leonidas gave Taiga another smile as he hugged her a bit tighter. "Everything will be ok."
Taiga's look of anger vanished as she smiled back at Leonidas and kissed him on the cheek. "I know. I trust you Leo."
