Chapter 108

While Andere laid on her couch asleep and snoring slightly she jumped up when Maci came running into the mansion.

"Andere Andere Andere!" Maci yelled loudly as she stood over the blonde who was now on the floor.

"What what what?" Andere began to blink repeatedly while her eyes adjusted to the bright lights in their house while looking around. "Did you get another pet or something?"

"No not that." Maci shook her head. "I did research on this black substance that the white clan was able to emit-"

"Why?" Andere suddenly became serious while she stood up and with her one arm grabbed Maci's shoulder.

"Taiga told me to do some research on it." Maci stared at her. "I learned it's some sort of purification process. As if the body is preparing for something."

Andere's grip on Maci's shoulder tightened. Maci. You don't understand how dangerous this could be."

"Why?" Maci grabbed Andere's hand. "Isn't this good? Doesn't that mean that he has control of his body?"

Andere shook her head. "No. That means one of two things can happen." While Andere spoke she began to have flashbacks. "He can either gain complete control of his power like his father...or." The first began to have a worrisome look on her face. "He can be driven insane and go on a murderous rampage."

"Do you mean like the one that happened years ago?" Maci watched her. "I wasn't in this country when that happened but I heard about it."

"Exactly like that..or worse if he isn't stopped." Andere turned back to Maci. "I'm glad you told me about this....I didn't know you were smart outside of combat."

Maci nodded before suddenly stopping. "Hey! I'm offended by that!"

"Well you just make some...questionable choices....a lot....constantly....everyday.." Andere glanced to the side and began to fake a cough while she spoke.

"Name one time." Maci crossed her arms beginning to pout.

"Where's the turtle?" Andere asked while looking around.

"....Alright that's not the point!" Maci began to look around.

"I know." Andere sat down and began to think. "I don't want to get the council involved....I'll get in trouble for letting him run around for this long. I got it!" She snapped her fingers. "You have to watch over him."

"...Eh?" Maci tilted her head. "Why do I have to? I'm not a babysitter."

"You have to because I said so?" Andere raised an eyebrow. "That and I trust you with this task. Vincent isn't here and Reishi wouldn't do it."

"Fine." Maci sighed loudly while looking down. "Can I bring Kagura?"

"No." Andere responded instantly. "Kagura won't be of much help in this scenario and if she finds out what could happen she'll grow concerned and freak out....well freak out in the Kagura way since her face is always blank. It's fine though. I'll distract her!" She gave a thumbs up.

"What do you men by she won't be helpful?" Maci looked at her.

"Well since they're a couple...I'll just say it Maci. They'll probably end up having sex more than actually talking about the black substance."

"Fine. I won't bring her." Maci began to look around for her turtle.

"And no you can't take the turtle." Andere sighed.

"You never let me have anything!" Maci shouted while storming off to her room to get her stuff.

When the conversation was over and Andere laid back down on the couch and closed her eyes when she opened them back up she noticed Kagura standing above her.

"...Oh...hey...Kagura." Andere spoke nervously not even realizing Kagura could've been present for the entire conversation. "Uh..how long have you been there?"

"Since Maci came in yelling." Kagura responded. "Also I'm going to help." She left to get her stuff while Andere ran behind her.

"Woah woah woah." Andere vanished and suddenly appeared in front of her. "Lets think about this for a second Kagura."

"I did think about it. I want to help so I'm going." Kagura tried to step past Andere.

"But you heard my explanation." Andere continued blocking her path. "Maci is....well Maci but still that stuff won't distract her!"

Kagura stared directly into Andere's eyes. "Lady First. I respect and look up to you more than anyone else in the world. I promise you. I'll focus on my job." Kagura bowed down.

Andere looked down at Kagura and sighed. "Fine..I guess I can't say no to that. Hurry up Maci is leaving soon."

"Thank you lady first." Kagura ran off to pack.

Once Kagura and Maci had arrived and gave an excuse about why they were there since they planned to explain the real reason later Maci, Taiga, and Catherine went out to eat leaving Kaguea and Leonidas alone.

Three hours later Leonidas and Kagura both laid in bed together. Both of them with their arms wrapped around each other.

"Oh right. Didn't you say you have an important question to ask me?" Leonidas turned to Kagura.

"Important...question?" Kagura began to think. "Oh that...yeah that can wait till later it's not too important."

While the other three were our Taiga wad introducing Maci. "Catherine. This is Maci. One of the Lady Andere's close friends. She's in her personal squad." Taiga gestured to the redhead.

"I didn't know you were friends with one of the first's personal squad members." Catherine stared at Maci while they ate. "So what is the first like?"

"Andere?" Maci began to drink from a bottle and set it down. "She's pretty cool..." Maci began to think. "She's not as intimidating as you'd think actually."

"Ah interesting." Catherine nodded as Maci spoke.

When the group finished eating they all left the restaurant together and Maci to speak again. "Well. I don't mean to kill the mood but I do have serious business to deal with." Maci turned to Taiga. "So when we get back to the house. We need to have a serious talk."
