In the middle of the night while sleeping Leonidas opened his eyes an shot out of the bed breathing heavily as he looked around. "Just a nightmare." He'd begin to rub his eyes before looking up and seeing Atreus standing in the middle of the room.
Waking up from his dream Leonidas screamed loudly causing everyone to wake up.
Ayita would let out a scream of surprise before beginning shout several swears in her own language.
Maci eyes shot open as she became surrounded in aura running around the room. "Is there a threat?! What's happening?! Do we have to fight?! How strong are they?!"
Taiga and Kagura shared a similar reaction as they both jumped up looked around noticing there was nothing there before going back to sleep.
Leonidas would watch Maci stop running around the room. "It's fine Maci. I just had a nightmare."
"Oh." Maci would yawn collapsing back into the bed. "Alright. I'm going back to sleep."
Ayita would lay back down and close her eyes mumbling under her breath.
The next day in the afternoon Maci would be standing outside stretching while Leonidas watched.
"So what exactly are we doing?" Leonidas questioned raising an eyebrow.
"Well. The tournament will be here before you know it so we should have quick spar. I won't go all out like Lady Andere does but I won't exactly hold back either."
Leonidas would nod as he removed his shirt grabbing his sword. "Alright."
"Hmm." Maci would stare at him.
"What?" Leonidas asked lowering his sword.
"Nothing." Maci would smirk as she began to remove her shirt to now only be wearing a bra.
Ayita would stare completely confused. "What? Why did they-"
"Don't question it." Kagura cut her off. "That's just a thing Leonidas does and I guess Maci wants to try it out too so it's best just to leave her be."
"Alright I suppose." Ayita would go silent.
Leonidas would get himself into a ready stance before rushing forward and beginning to slash.
Maci would begin to leap left and right before vanishing in a flash of red aura appearing behind Leonidas. She'd wrap her arms around his waist. Before doing anything else she'd move her hand down grabbing Leonidas's ass. "Oh what do we have here?"
Leonidas would widen his eyes. "What are you doing?"
"Ohhhh nothiiiing." Maci responded while leaning back slamming him into the ground. She'd let go before taking several steps back.
Leonidas would stand up slowly being caught off guard by her attack. "I thought you would fight like Rex." Leonidas would say as he thought back to when he saw Lilith and Rex fight when they fought his old society.
"Nope." Maci would begin to smile widely. "Rex decided to develop his own way of using our flame ability."
Leonidas would dash forward beginning to slash at Maci.
Maci would surround her arms in her red aura beginning to block his attacks. "You're doing pretty good." She'd say as she leaned back to avoid another one of his attacks.
Leonidas would surround his sword in his aura as he continued to slash sending out waves of his aura now.
Maci would continue to avoid as she saw small cuts begin to form on her body. "Yeah good job!" She'd cheer before ramming her forearm into Leonidas's chest causing him to slide back. "I think that's enough for today." Maci would begin to walk away while Cain walked past her towards Leonidas.
"We should sit down and talk." He'd say beginning to lead Leonidas to a table.
The two would sit down while Cain paused for a second. "Leonidas. How exactly did you survive the day the clan was wiped out by Andere and the council?"
Leonidas would pause for a second. "My brother Atreus saved me."
Cain would nod slowly. "That makes sense if I think about it."
"Yeah. Now I have the same question for you." Leonidas would respond.
"Well." Cain would begin to speak. "It's a long story. To make it short and simple. I left the clan. Was I aware of this attack? No not really I guess it was kind of convenient I left and then time passes and next thing I hear is that the whites are gone."
Leonidas would nod. "You have same tattoos as the main branch. How exactly are you connected to the main branch?"
"Oculus was my older brother." Cain responded simply.
"That doesn't make sense. If he was your older brother why would you leave the clan?" Leonidas leaned forward.
Cain would let out a sigh as he closed his eyes and began to speak. "Well Leonidas. The Whites were or still are since we're alive I suppose demons. There's no way around it. We have demon blood coursing through our veins. Your father was my older brother and I looked up to him I wanted to be just like him but..." As Cain went on his voice took a darker turn. "As we got older and stronger. He began to do some cruel things in his more serious fights. He was an amazing warrior but I just couldn't stand what he was doing. So eventually. I just left. Even if we're all demons if you're father went all out he became a monster. Only Andere was able to match his strength in battle. If she didn't exist he'd be the strongest man in this country."
Leonidas would nod in silence.
"These tattoos. You said they symbolize the main branch? That is true." Cain would nod. "They also have another meaning. Everyone has a dark side Leonidas. Our clan is no exception. These tattoos also represent every sin we've committed throughout our history. We both have to bare this burden for as long as we live. Can you handle it?"
Leonidas would continue nodding. "Yeah. I can."
Cain would smirk as he stood up. "Good." He'd begin to walk off. "And I didn't mean disrespect to the clan or your father. Just don't end up giving into your inner demon too much. Okay?" Cain would continue to walk away.
Leonidas would watch Cain walk off. "Right."
