Veronica was staring at Allison in disbelief. She was laying on the floor, crying her eyes out. She was sick. Extremely sick. She came home from London nearly dead. She could barely stand up, she hadn't been to any classes in three days, but there was nothing she could do.
Phoebe and Veronica were doing all they could to take care of her, but she didn't rest when they were at school and they couldn't help her if they weren't home.
Veronica suggested asking Connor to watch her but Allison turned that down. She didn't want him to get sick when he had just gotten better. So that wasn't an option.
Allison told them she'd be fine but she just got worse. Connor had asked her if he could come see her and she told him no. She didn't need him to get sick.
Now she was crying because she forgot the date night they planned before she left. Well, she didn't forget, she just couldn't go. She was practically dead. She knew he was going to be heartbroken when she told him she couldn't come. She felt terrible.
"Alli, you're sick. It's okay that you can't go." Phoebe rubbed her hair from her face.
"He's gonna hate me." Allison sobbed, staring at her phone.
"Just call him and tell him, Al. He can't be that upset if you're on your deathbed." Veronica sighed, wiping Allison's face off.
Allison clicked Connor's contact and then call. It rang twice. "Hey!" He greeted.
"Hey, I have some bad news." She sniffed.
"What's wrong, Al?" He frowned.
"I can't come on our date tonight." She told him. "I'm really sick."
He felt defeated. "No worries. Do you need me to come over and take care of you?" He offered.
"No, I don't want you to get whatever I have. I'll text you, okay?" She told him.
"Okay, feel better." He sighed.
Taylor came home to Connor moping on the couch. He didn't know what was going on. He slowly took off his shoes and hung up his jacket. He walked into the living room. Connor didn't take his eyes off the TV. Taylor cleared his throat. Still nothing from Connor. Taylor sat down on the free couch.
"You okay, Davey?" Taylor asked.
"No." Connor whined. "Allison curved me."
Taylor let out a laugh. "What?"
Connor sat up, pouting. "I had a huge date night planned out. I was gonna ask her out and everything." He explained. "And then she called me and said she was sick."
"She is sick." Taylor told him. Connor furrowed his brows. "She's like really sick. Phoebe was telling Nuge when I was with him."
"She wouldn't let me come over and take care of her." Connor growled. "I'm actually really upset. What a pussy."
Taylor stood up. He sat down next to Connor. He wrapped an arm around his teammate. Connor leaned into him. Taylor understood. He knew how much Connor loved Allison. He had done the most to make sure she had the perfect night. And now she couldn't even spend the night with him. Connor wasn't himself either without Allison around. Taylor noticed that. He felt bad for Connor.
Connor thanked Taylor and went to his room. He decided to call Cam. Cam always knew what to do. They caught up at first. Cam could tell something was up with Connor. He was gonna wait for his little brother to come out with it. Connor took a deep breath.
"I had a date night planned for Alli, and she didn't come because she's sick. I'm pretty hurt by it." He confessed.
"Why are you hurt?" Cam questioned.
"I wanted to ask her out tonight." Connor frowned.
"Connor, she's sick, she didn't turn you down. You're being a baby." Cam sighed. "Call her and tell her what your plan was for the night."
Connor nodded. "Thanks, Cam. But I've got a better idea."
Connor drove to Allison's dorm. It was still early enough that he was allowed inside, but he wanted to be more romantic. She was on the second floor of the dorm. It wasn't too far from the ground. He wasn't going to climb to her window. That's how he was going to get ahold of her. He found rocks. He was doing the old cliche.
Allison groaned when she heard the tapping on her window. She got up from her bed. She looked out the window. Connor waved up to her. She laughed. She pulled open the window. He was beaming up at her. She couldn't believe him.
"You can still come inside, you know." She called out to him.
"You didn't want me inside so I'm not." He stated.
"This was your big surprise?" She laughed.
He nodded. "Exactly how I planned it."
She shook her head. "It's starting to snow."
"Are you inviting me inside?" He smirked. She nodded. "Would it be crazy to climb in the window?"
"You can try it." She laughed.
Of course he did. It started to snow as he tried. He managed. It was hard to climb with the heavy snow falling. He was getting soaked. Allison pulled him inside. He chuckled at her shaking her head at him.
She grabbed him a towel. He pulled his shirt off, followed by his sweat pants. Allison shook her head again, wrapping the towel around him. He had clothes somewhere in her stuff.
"Is your collarbone okay?" She rubbed it.
He rolled his eyes. "It's fine." He started rummaging through her drawers.
"Why are you here?" She asked, watching him from her bed.
"Because I missed you." He shrugged, picking up a pair of his shorts. "You have all my Erie stuff, I swear."
"Probably." She agreed. "I wish you hadn't come. I'm really sick, Connor."
He rolled his eyes. "I just won't kiss you." He teased. "But I am freezing, so can we cuddle?"
He picked her up. She wrapped her arms and legs around him. He laid her down on her back, still on top of her. He pulled her comforter over them. She was laughing. He rolled off of her, keeping his arms wrapped around her waist. She placed her hand on his cheek, rubbing it with her thumb.
"I'm sorry I ruined tonight." She sighed.
He shook his head. "You didn't ruin anything." He argued. "I was just gonna take you on a really nice date and then at the end of the night, I was gonna ask you to be my girlfriend again."
"And I was going to say yes." She smiled at him.
"Really?" He piped up. She nodded. "You don't know how much I needed to hear that."
She played with the hair on the back of his neck. "I'm sorry for the way I acted when we were broken up." She breathed. "I'm sorry I went for one of your teammates."
He shook his head. "It's okay. I'm definitely over it." He chuckled before he kissed her. "I love you, Al."
"I love you too." She grinned before he kissed her again.
