Allison had just gotten off the bus and Max was harassing her. He was picking her up in Montreal. It was Christmas Eve eve and the bus station was hectic. She let out a growl, trying to find where Max was instructing her to go. She found him and he was with someone. She recognized him. It was Sam Reinhart. She ran over to Max, hopping on him. Sam smiled at her.
"About time." Max growled, setting her down.
"This place is a fucking mess, not my fault." She stated. She followed Max to the baggage drop off. "I'm Allison." She extended her hand to Sam.
"I'm Sam. I think we met last year." He hummed, shaking her head.
"Ah, when I was dating an asshole." She chuckled.
"Davo isn't that bad." Sam tried to argue.
Max snorted. "He cheated on Allison with his ex that he cheated on with Allison."
"Maybe he is that bad." Sam laughed.
Allison laughed a bit too.
She got her luggage and started rolling it towards the doors. It was lifted from her hands. She turned back to see Sam carrying it. He gave her a smile.
Allison knew exactly what she needed to do during her break. She needed to hang out with Sam.
"So what's the plan, Domi?" She sighed as they climbed into the car they were sent in.
"We get back to the hotel, sleep, wake up, get last minute gifts, get drunk." He listed. "Wake up again and Merry Christmas!"
"Sounds boring. Why would I trust getting drunk with like thirty guys?" She scoffed.
"I'll watch out for you." Sam piped up, nudging her.
Christmas Eve went exactly how Max said. Everyone needed last minute gifts. They saved a name for Allison in the Secret Santa. She got Darnell. She had met him a few times. They were from the same city so she thought it would be funny to buy him something relating to the Ticats. She was walking around with Max and Sam once again. They walked into a store and Curtis was there. He freaked out and ran out. He obviously had one of them. They laughed about it.
Everyone went out for drinks that night. There were only two others beside Allison that couldn't legally drink. Connor and Lawson. The two decided to stay in but Allison went out with the guys. She needed that to get closer to Sam. She knew he and Connor were good friends and she was petty as hell. Sam had no problem being all over her when the drinks started flowing.
The next day, the team and Allison were having a big Christmas dinner. They all had matching sweaters that the coaches were making them wear. None of the guys wanted to be caught in them. Allison kept taking photos of herself with the guys by calling their names when they weren't paying attention. She was sat beside Sam. She called his name and snapped the photo. He was glaring at her in the photo. Her phone scared her as it started to ring. It was Kara.
"Dylan and Mitch both asked me to spend Christmas with them." Kara spat.
The team was loud. Allison couldn't hear over them. They all laughed like maniacs. She shot them all a glare. Zach grinned at her. She tried to keep a straight face but he was too adorable for that she cracked and smiled back. Then she remembered she was on the phone.
"Kara? I can't really talk." Allison yelled. "I'm with the team. It's hard to talk over twenty some-odd guys."
"Allison, this is a huge deal!" Kara cried.
"Just text me!" Allison called then hung up.
"Who was that?" Sam asked, chewing some candy.
"My best friend. She's having boy problems." She sighed, taking some of his candy.
"Aren't you relieved you don't have any boy problems?" He teased, bumping shoulders with her.
"You're a boy, and you talking to me is a problem." She smirked, tossing some candy at him.
"Hey, be nice. It's Christmas." Nick Ritchie called from across the table.
Sam and Allison put their hands up in defence. Sam tossed a jelly bean at Nick when he looked away. He glared at them and they laughed.
Allison started texting Kara about what was going on. She suggested just telling them she was going to spend the time with her family. That sounded believable. Allison then sent the photo she took of her and Sam with an emoji.

Kara told her to take it easy but Allison was. She was really enjoying the two days she'd hung around Sam. And it wasn't like she was looking for love, just someone to hook up with. Sam was a good candidate. She watched him interact with all the other guys. He was cute, charming, and had a wicked sense of humour. Allison didn't see the problem. She didn't think he was one to get caught up in his feelings either. That was also important to her.
Later on, after they finished dinner, the guys were just hanging out in some lounge. There were a couple board games being played, poker, and twister for some reason, plus a TV set up with a game system. Allison loved twister.
She was tangled up with Brayden currently. They were laughing their heads off. Brayden collapsed, bringing her down with him. They laughed about that too. Allison got up and made her way to where the TV area was.
"Both of you freeze!" Samuel hollered. Neither Allison nor Jake were about to argue with him. "Look up."
Allison and Jake did. Mistletoe. Jake let out a long growl and Allison made a disgusted face. Jake dipped her before planting one on her. Everyone cheered. They laughed when they broke apart. Allison walked over to the couch, squeezing in between Frederik and Nic. They both groaned. She smacked their thighs.
Sam came strolling in from the other room. He pointed at Allison then waggled a finger towards himself. All the guys cooed. She rolled her eyes as she stood up. She followed him out of the room.
"So I was thinking," He exhaled as he led her outside.
"I was thinking you should've let me grab a jacket." She whined, smirking at him.
He rolled his eyes. "We should start hanging out." He reached out for her hand.
She placed her hand in his and he pulled her over to him. "Should we?" She teased, leaning into him.
"Would you be up for it?" He beamed down at her.
"Like Netflix and chill or actually spend time together to get to know each other?" She smirked.
"The second one." He shook his head. "Dirty mind."
She just smiled up at him. Connor watched the exchange. He rolled his eyes when Sam wrapped an arm around her. He turned to walk away but Robby stopped him. He brushed Robby off and kept walking towards the elevators. Robby chased after him. Connor held the button that closed the doors when he saw Robby coming. Robby still got there in time.
"Really?" He spat. Connor shrugged. "It's over with Allison. You need to accept that."
"No, I don't." Connor snorted.
"Well, I don't think you should let that ruin our team dinner." Robby chuckled.
"If we were a good team, Sam wouldn't be tryna get with my ex." Connor argued.
"If you were a good person, you wouldn't have cheated on your ex." Robby sang, pushing the lobby button to bring Connor back down. "Or your ex before that."
"I got it." Connor sighed.
"It's Christmas. Lighten up." Robby shoved him.
