Allison had fallen asleep to Connor lying beside her, but now she was under her covers, as well as under three bodies. Her bed was not big enough for herself and three hockey players.

At some point in the night, Mitch and Dylan had either climbed into the bed themselves or had been invited by Connor. She wouldn't be surprised by either. Connor had his face tucked into her shoulder, drooling, and his arms around her waist. Mitch was spooning him while Dylan was spooning her. She didn't really mind, she spent everyday with these kids, she just needed to pee and didn't want to wake anyone up.

The room was dark, which meant there was no real point in getting up even if it meant she'd end up sleeping more hours than usual and wasting her day, but this was the only way she would want to waste it. The summer was coming to an end and she wouldn't be able to do this with the boys anymore. The more time she could soak up with Connor's body pressed up against hers, the higher chance she had of memorizing it so she'd never feel lonely when he left her.

He had to go back to Edmonton for training way before she needed to. Her second year started in September and she wasn't going back until she absolutely needed to, even if that meant being away from Connor. She'd be kind of lonely though, especially since Mitch and Dylan would be going back to London and Erie just shortly after Connor.

She looked over at Dylan. He was breathing softly, snoring just quietly, with his mouth wide open. She smiled before frowning. She was beyond worried about him. Ever since his meltdown at Boots, she had been nothing but worried about him.

She had known Dylan the longest out of the three kids in her bed. He was beyond sensitive, and despite this reputation he had been given, all he really wanted was to find something real. He just wanted to love someone and be loved by someone unconditionally, and she did love him like that, but it wasn't the kind of love he wanted. He wanted someone to call his own. And he didn't want to be played with anymore.

She felt movement to her left and glanced over. Mitch was rubbing his face, still fast asleep. His leg was draped over Connor. He had his head tilted back, mouth opened just enough to have a little teeth showing. She never thought she'd be sharing a bed with him.

Mitch and her had their share of disagreements throughout the past two years, but now? She couldn't imagine not having Mitch around everyday. He was important to her, and he deserved to find someone good for him just as much as Dylan did.

Connor let out a small noise, gaining her attention. He was still knocked out, holding onto her. She kissed his head and looped her arms around his body, fingers sneaking under his shorts. Nothing was going to happen, she was too tired for it and Dylan and Mitch were right there. but she just liked to touch Connor to chase away the thoughts of being without him that slept in the corners of her mind, the loneliness she was not supposed to think about as a taken girl. But she had another season to think about it.

She knew Connor wasn't going anywhere. Well, he'd be going lots of places, but he'd always be coming back to her. But that still scared her. It scared her that he'd be away from her. She trusted him, and she knew, 100 per cent knew that he wasn't going to do anything to jeopardize their relationship, especially after all they'd done to get to such a good point, but she was still scared.

She couldn't help but think that one day, Connor was gonna wake up and realize how much more he could get out of life, and then leave her.

"You're worrying about something." Dylan's groggy voice blurted out, scaring Alli.

"Shush, they're still asleep." She whispered. "And no, I'm not."

"Your breathing changed, that happens when you're worried." He stated, burying his face between her shoulder blades. "Talk to me, Al."

"I'm just gonna miss you guys. And Connor when he's away, and stuff." She told him.

"We're always here for you, when you miss us, or Connor, or just want some Mitch and Dyl loving, you know we're there." He said, kissing her back where his face was tucked.

She smiled. "Love you, Dyl."

The four laid in bed all day. They would wake up and fall asleep throughout the day, at different times. Connor bought pizza for them and they found some other snacks in the house as well. They were all enjoying their last weekend together before summer ended too soon. That was probably the only con of being a hockey player. A short summer. But a short summer typically meant a good season.

They all slept at Alli's again that night, but were being forced to wake up early. Connor was leaving that day on an evening flight, packing was still required, and Al was driving him to the airport.

Dylan just sat on Alli's bed while Connor gathered up things he had at Alli's. Mitch was standing in front of the tv, playing his Playstation that Connor had bought for her house, strictly for his own use. Alli was getting ready before she drove the boys back home. She had to look presentable if she was going to be out with the three of them.

"You alright?" Connor asked, nudging Dylan.

Dylan nodded. "Yeah, just hate being apart from you guys." He shrugged.

"Aw, don't worry, Stromer, I'll be down to out score your ass soon." Mitch chirped.

Connor snorted. "No chance."

"Way to be indifferent, Davo." Mitch hissed.

"Otters forever." Connor shrugged.

They piled into Alli's car shortly after. Connor kept a hand on her thigh the entire drive. He wanted to be as close as possible to her before he had to leave. She would be coming to Edmonton eventually, but it was gonna be hard being away from her. He just watched her as she drove.

"Summer was nice." Mitch spoke.

"It was." Allison agreed. "We had a good one."

"Next year will be better, boys." Dylan cheered. "And Al."

She smiled back at him in the rearview mirror. Connor just nodded in agreement.

The rest of the ride was pretty quiet. There was some obnoxious singing but not much talking. No one really wanted to talk about summer ending. The plan was all to go to Connor's, then the airport with him, and then they were gonna spend the night at the Stromes. Mainly because Alli wasn't ready to be alone.

Kelly had lunch ready for the group when they showed up. Dylan, Mitch, and Allison sat and started eating while Connor went up to start packing. Allison finished quickly and excused herself to go help him.

She pushed open his bedroom door, seeing his things everywhere. He had his back to her while he looked it over. She wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her face on his back. He exhaled slowly when she held onto him.

"I can't believe how much shit I have." He growled.

"Babe, I can bring some with me. I don't have much to bring." She said, moving to stand beside him while she rubbed his back.

He chewed on his cheek, nodding. "I hate leaving home." He confessed.

"I know." She frowned.

"I feel bad leaving Stromer." He admitted. "Ever since," He stopped, knowing she knew what he was talking about. "I'm really worried about him. It scares me."

She shook her head. "You know Dylan will come to us if he needs us. You need to worry about your hockey." She stated, grabbing some of his things. "Go eat. I can pack better than you."

He just shook his head and leaned down, kissing her lips. She waited for him to walk out before she let out a long breath. She was worried about Dylan too.
