The Otters' season came to an end. Dylan was back home in Mississauga so that meant not a lot of Alli and Connor time. But there was plenty of Alli, Connor, and Dylan time. Allison didn't mean being the third wheel with the two. Connor always kept a hand on her, no matter what they were doing. He didn't want Alli to feel left out but Dylan was lonely.
Dylan and Kara had been on and off for five hundred years, and now they weren't even talking. As Dylan's best friend, Connor had to keep his mind off it. So they spent everyday together, and Alli spent sometime with them too. Connor took some days away from Dylan to go out with Allison. But Dylan usually tagged along. They were friends too after all.
Currently, Allison was texting Kara, Farrah, Darren, Jessica, Amber, Rachel, and Sierra about Kara's birthday. A notification popped up on her phone from theScore. It was about Connor so she clicked it. He was nominated for the Calder. She looked at him in shock. Not because he was nominated, but because he hadn't mentioned it to her.
He had one hand on the steering wheel and one on the clutch. She smacked his chest. He jumped when she did that. He lifted his sunglasses from his face and looked at her with wide eyes. She shook her head at him. Dylan was laughing in the back seat. They were driving to a Jays game.
"What was that for?" He asked.
"You're nominated for the Calder and didn't even tell me?" She hissed.
He shrugged. "I didn't think it was a big deal."
She scrunched up her face and punched his shoulder. He let out a gasp at that before he started to chuckle.
"I'm sorry!" He exclaimed through laughs.
"You're such a jerk!" She hollered. "That's such a big deal, Connor!"
"Sorry." He dragged out, reaching out to squeeze her thigh. "I just figured you were sick of hearing about hockey."
"Never." She smiled, kissing his cheek. "Now, onto a major problem we have."
"Which is..." He asked as he absentmindedly tangled his fingers with hers.
"Kara's birthday party." She exhaled.
"I'm not going." Dylan stated.
"Dyl," Allison turned and frowned at him.
"Nope." He crossed his arms, shaking his head.
She sighed. "Alright." She turned back to face forward.
"I think you should go." Connor said to Dylan.
"Why?" Dylan's brows furrowed.
"You love her, even if she has hurt you, and you've been in each other's lives for years. It's her nineteenth, Stromer." Connor told him.
"I don't care." Dylan snorted.
"Yes you do." Connor laughed.
Dylan stayed silent. Allison texted Kara about the discussion before they got to Rogers Centre. Connor paid for his parking, parked, and then they were off for the game.
Allison stopped as they were walking, rummaging through her purse, and he waited at her side. She pulled out a baseball cap and placed it on her head. She looked up at Connor. He hand his hand extended for her. She smiled and took it, earning an eye roll from Dylan.
"Bitter isn't a good look for you." Allison hummed towards him.
"Shut up." He laughed.
Allison had the luxury of sitting between the two at the game. She thought she yelled a lot, but the two boys she was with yelled a lot more. She made them take a picture with her during the 7th inning stretch. She had her arms around both of their necks with a big smile. Dylan was doing a giant fake smile with his eyes shut as he leaned into her, and Connor was doing his half smile with his hand on her hip. She thanked the person that took it for them and then took to Instagram with it.

"She uses us for insta follows." Dylan leaned behind her to whisper to Connor.
"No I do not, shut up." She rolled her eyes at him.
People around them started to cheer. Allison sipped her beer and then choked on it when she looked at the screen. It was on kiss cam and her and Dylan were on the screen. She started to laugh. Dylan was pointing over to Connor, who was also laughing. Connor grabbed Allison's face and pressed his lips to hers. The crowd roared.
An arrow pointed at Connor on the screen with the caption "Oilers rookie Connor McDavid!" flashing. He wrapped an arm around Alli and waved, she did as well. The camera went elsewhere. Alli looked up at Connor, who was smirking down at her. She pressed her lips back to his.
"We get it." Dylan groaned.
Connor shoved Dylan with the arm around Allison. Dylan glared at him.
They continued to watch the game. The Jays pulled off a win. Dylan let out a long 'woo' when he stood up. Allison laughed at him. He smiled.
They walked out to Connor's car. They'd be going to Real Sports next. Allison checked her phone as they drove to find Kara going off about something. Her brows rose as she read all the messages. She started laughing at it. Connor could tell it was a dry laugh.
"Hey," He tapped her arm. She looked at him. "You alright?"
Alli cleared her throat. "'I don't even know whose side you're on anymore. You spend all your time with Dylan, it's like I'm nothing to you. Just like I'm nothing to him because he's an idiot and thinks that I'm in love with Mitch and I'm following him to school like I'm you or something.'" She read Kara's messages.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Connor asked in confusion. "Like you? How?"
"That's what I just said and she replied, 'are you honestly telling me you didn't apply to Alberta knowing there was a possibility of Connor going there?'" Allison spat.
"If she didn't still have feelings for Mitch, she wouldn't always message him and try to get him to bail on his new girl for her." Dylan scoffed.
Allison just shook her head. She didn't even know how to react. She locked her phone, putting it in one of the cup holders. Connor grabbed her hand, running his thumb over her knuckles.
He knew she hadn't applied to Alberta because he had a chance of going there, she had always liked the school. She didn't look at him when he grabbed her hand, just stared out the window.
They got to Real Sports and to their table. Dylan was sitting across from Alli and Connor. They were all silently reading over their menus.
Connor looked from his best friend to his girlfriend. They were both upset over what Kara had said. He sighed, squeezing Allison's thigh. She closed her menu and scooted closer to him. She rested her head on his shoulder and he rested his head on top of hers.
"What do you want?" He whispered to her, kissing her forehead.
"I'm not really hungry." She shrugged.
"Al," He growled.
She rolled her eyes with a smile. "Just pick something for me. You know what I like."
