"Don't make me feel bad." Allison sighed when she answered the phone.
"I'm not planning to." Dylan chuckled. "Go home to Connor."
"Did he tell you wh-"
"I know he was a dick, but he's Connor. He's sensitive." He cut her off.
"He's never yelled at me like that, ever." She sighed, laying on the couch in Phoebe and Veronica's apartment.
"He thinks you're, like, God's gift to the world, so he's really insecure when it comes to you." He explained.
"I know, but I don't know why. He's my person." She rubbed her temples.
"He thinks you're too good for him and he's scared you'll think that one day." He continued. "He needs you, Al."
"Home would be a lot more comfortable than this fucking couch." She growled. "Should I text him?"
"Yes! Please so he'll leave me alone." He begged.
She laughed a bit. "Okay. Thanks, Dyl."
"Yeah, yeah." He hummed before he hung up.

Always
On my wayConnor smiled, grabbing his keys from where they were hanging on the wall. He called Dylan as he walked to his car. He pushed the button to unlock his car on his keys right as Dylan answered.
"Everything alright in paradise?" He teased.
"Heading to get her now." Connor beamed. "Thanks, Stromer."
"Gotta keep my parents together." Dylan chuckled.
"You're always gonna look out for me, huh?" Connor asked as he set his phone on the stand in his car.
"I'm always gonna try." Dylan smiled.
Connor and Dylan talked until Connor got to Phoebe and Veronica's. Dylan said he was going to bed and hung up. It was really late in Erie, sorry Dyl.
Connor hummed as he waited for Allison. He saw the front door of the building open and his heart flutter. She ran down the path to the car, running around the front and climbing in the front seat. They both just smiled at each other.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell." He pouted.
She just leaned forward, resting her hand on his cheek as she kissed him. He pulled her closer, deepening their kiss. She smiled into it, pulling back slowly.
"I'm really sorry." He whispered, resting his forehead on hers.
"Talk to me when you're upset. Don't just freak out." She scolded him, sitting back.
But it didn't change from there. They couldn't stop fighting for the rest of the week. It was like one of them needed to pick a fight every time. Connor slept on the couch every night. They might have been fighting but she was still the most important person in his life, and he wanted to show that. Alli knew, even if they weren't on good terms.
He'd wake up to breakfast and her already gone, every morning. That's how he knew she still loved him, not that he doubted she did. He would text Dylan about the situation everyday, and so would she. He was the middle man and he hated it.
Exactly a week after the baby wipes incident, Connor came home to Al crying on the couch. She had her hands pulling her hair back from her face while she stared at the ground. Her eyes met his as he rushed over to her side. He sat next to her, putting a hand on her back. She shook her head and stood up.
"I can't keep doing this." She choked out.
"Doing what?" He swallowed hard.
"Fighting!" She exclaimed. She took a deep breath, looking up at the ceiling. "I think I'm gonna go stay somewhere else for a bit."
"Al, come o-"
"I can't sit in a house with you where we don't talk to each other." She told him, staring at him. "I think we need time apart. We didn't fight this much when we didn't live together."
"Don't say that." He frowned.
"I love you, but I can't deal with the stress of us fighting and the stress of school. Just let me do this." She said, grabbing his face. "Please."
He just nodded, earning a peck from her. He sat still as he listened to her walking around, packing different things she needed. He must have sat there for a half hour before she came back over to him. She brushed his hair back before she kissed his cheek, then his lips. She told him she loved him as she walked to the door.
"Alli, wait," He shot up. She turned around. "Where are you staying?"
She gave him a small smile. "The girls', I'm not far."
And with that, she walked out.
Connor just... cried. He burst into tears. He felt for his phone on the table before he flopped on the couch. He clicked his last call and it rang twice.
"What was the fight about today?" Dylan sighed.
"No fight, she just left." Connor sobbed.
"Oh, Davy." Dylan frowned. "Let it all out, buddy. I'm here."
