November seemed to drag on. Connor was always with Allison. Not being able to practice or play was getting hard for him. He had his sling off but he still wasn't practicing.
Allison was fine with Connor always hanging out. He was letting her drive his car everywhere. It was nice for her to not get lost all the time. She spent a lot of nights at his place.
Allison went back to her dorm for one night. She was planning on hanging out with the girls. They hadn't spent much time together lately.
She walked into her room smiling. Neither were there. She sent them a text and they told her they were. Phoebe was at the library and Veronica was out with a guy. Allison growled. Her phone started to ring. Connor.
"Hey." She answered.
"What's up?" He asked.
"I'm trying to find my roommates. How about you?" She chuckled.
"Trying to get a pretty girl to come hang out with me." He smirked.
"Lonely with the boys in Detroit?" She teased.
"And without you here." He stated. "Come spend the night with me."
She rolled her eyes. "I'll be over in a bit."
Allison changed into yoga pants and one of Connor's sweaters. She slid on her moccasins and made her way out to his car. He had a nice car. She was thankful that he let her drive it everywhere. She drove him everywhere in it, that was why.
She parked in his spot at his apartment and went up. She knew the code to get in so she didn't bother buzzing to him.
He shook his head when she walked in. "I would've came down and met you."
"I know my way up. It's okay." She smirked. "What's our big plans for tonight?"
"Cuddling on this bad boy." He patted the couch he was sitting on.
Allison took off her shoes before she walked into the living room. She sat down behind Connor so she could lean against the arm of the couch. He laid back, resting in her lap. She rested her hands on his torso, rubbing his chest gently. She didn't go near the left side of his chest, even if he was feeling good.
Connor knew his feelings for her. And they were strong. He was still completely in love with her. He didn't know how she felt towards him. She didn't hate him if she would hang out and sleep with him, obviously. But he could've just been a consistent hook up to her.
He wanted to find out. He knew she was comfortable with him. He was the same with her. They were the closest thing to home that either had.
Allison started brushing his hair from his face. She couldn't sit still. Ever. Connor looked up at her. She smiled at him. He just stared at her. She tilted her head at him.
"What?" She asked.
"Should I cut my hair?" He questioned.
She made a face as she ran her hands through it. He was gonna lose his mind any minute. She stroked his cheeks when she finished running her hands through it. She shrugged.
"Maybe a trim." She suggested.
He nodded, sitting up. He sat with his back to her. She could tell something was wrong. She sat up, rubbing his back. He moved further from her reach. She furrowed her brows. She grabbed the remote and paused their movie.
"What's wrong?" She exhaled.
"This." He stated. She gave him a questioning look. "Us acting like a couple when I don't even know where you st-"
"We're friends, Connor." She breathed.
"Friends don't hook up and always spend their free time together. Friends don't do those little strokes and longing gazes like you just did." He listed. "I just need to know where your heart is, Al. This is driving me crazy."
She frowned. "I love you. With all my heart, I do. But I just can't be with you right now. I'm here for school and I-"
"School isn't a good excuse if you already spend all your time with me." He stated. "I don't see why we can't give it another chance."
"Just let me figure myself out." She took a deep breath. "Just give me until the end of this term."
"So your birthday?" He suggested.
"Yes. My birthday. I'll figure this out by then." She swore, grabbing his hand. "I just need a little more time."
He nodded slowly. He looked down at her hands squeezing his. He took the chance, leaning forward to kiss her. His lips pressed to hers. She didn't fight it. She closed her eyes and kissed back. He pulled away slowly. She smiled at him. She turned the movie back on. She sat back where she was, with Connor in her lap. He grabbed her hand and pressed his lips to the top of it.
