Chapter 17

So Alena and you have been handling your apartment well. You pay half and she pays the other. Relationship goals with Phol are getting higher and higher and you believe Dan has a thing for Alena. You don't know for sure but you have that, best friend instinct. Plus he stares at her a lot. Phil decided that he wanted to go out on a nice date with you but with a twist. Dan and Alena were going. TOGETHER! It was perfectly set out. Dan and Alena already had outfits picked out and so did you and Phil. This was going to be exciting.

"Are you sure this dress doesn't make me look fat?" Alena asks you while looking in a mirror. "Positive. Dies this look dressy enough?" You ask her, walking in with a music note dress and black heels. "I love it! I believe it is perfect for you." Alena answers. You nod. "Question." "Answer." Alena Immediantly replies. "Do you have a thing for Dan?" You ask falling onto your bed. "Umm....well. Before I liked him through the internet. Now my love life is all over the place for him. Getting to know him IRL is like having a puppy then when you snap your fingers, it's a dog. You know what I mean?"

"Yeah. I'm pretty sure." I say. "There are good things and terrible things about it. Right?" You say. Alena nods. "Through the internet, he is a funny, awkward, clumsy, sweetheart. In reality he is a hilarious, loud, cutie, downer. It's....strange. So the answer to your question is yes. I do have a thing for Dan." She says. You smile and stand up. "Alrighty then!" You say happily. Finishing up your makeup, you grab your purse and open the front door. "I'll be at Dan and Phil's place!" You yell. "K! See ya soon!" Alena yells back as you shut the door.

*Le time skip*

"Phil!" You yell. As you run up the stairs, you find Phil eating some Doritos. "These things are so good! America, we thank-" He stops in the middle of his sentence to look at you. Looking down, you become slightly scared. "What." You ask. "Nothing. You just look..." "What? Ugly? Gross?" You get cut off. "Beautiful." Phil says staring at you. You smile and hug him. "By the way, Alena is totally into Dan." You whisper after the hug. Phil high fives you as Dan runs in fixing his bow tie. "Oh hey (Y/N)! Dies this look OK for our date, thing?" He asks. Dan was wearing black and white, floral shirt with a bow tie and a jacket with black shiny pants. "Alena is definitely going to dig it." You say with a grin. He smiles. "Thanks (Y/N). Glad you could help." He says and runs back to the bathroom.

*Le time skip to date*

Alena texted you a while ago, saying that she would meet you guys at the restaurant. Phil had put his suit on and he looked magnifisnt. As you all walked in, the hostess asked, "How many?" "4." Dan answered. "Can I have a table of 2 and he have a table of 2 please?" You ask. She nods and gives you and Dan a buzzer. You waited for about 3 minutes. Then Alena walked in wearing a black dress with layers at the bottom and tank top straps. She wore a pair of flats which matched beautifully. You smiled so wide. Phil placed an arm around you then whispered in your ear, "You did good." Then pointed to Dan.

He was staring at her in such awe. Probably was thinking that Alena is so gorgeous. Alena looked at me and Phil gave us a small smile and smiled a bit bigger at Dan. Then she awkwardly waved and the buzzer went off. Freaked out Dan from his trans. You then walked together. Phil with an arm around your shoulder and you with your arm around his back. Dan and Alena walked side by side. Just talking. The waitress lead you and Phil to your seats first. Phil pulled your chair out for you. "Such, a gentleman." You giggle. He smiles and giggles a bit too. You and Phil watch Dan and Alena get their seats which is really far away but, you could see them through a crowd of people easily.

Once you order your food, (a roasted chicken with lemon zest for you and Phil got the sirloin) you and Phil spy on Dan and Alena.

Dan's POV

Wow. She looks so wonderful tonight. It's just...UGH! WHY CAN'T I TELL PEOPLE WHAT I THINK ABOUT THEM!!!!! JEEZUS!!!!!!! Okay, okay. Just make a nice conversation. This should be easy. "Imgladyoucouldcome." I mumble. SHIT! NO! WHY MUMBLE! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO GOD DA- "What was that?" Alena asks. "Sorry. I was just mumbling. I said, I'm glad you could come." I answer. Honestly, that took soooo much effort not to mumble. "Oh. That's okay. I mumble too. I, as well, am glad I could come." She says. We both laugh and talk about our imperfections.

Once we finish our food, I was ready. Now, still, totally ready. I'm gonna tell her how I feel. "Alena." I say. She wipes her face with a napkin and then looks as if saying, 'yeah?'. "You look gorgeous tonight." I say to her. Her face goes completely red and she smiles. Now I could feel my face warming. But I couldn't back down now. "Also, you actually look gorgeous everyday and I have been meaning to tell you that I have a crush on you. Not like one of those secondary school crushes. Like, honest to god crush on youu" I slur at the end. GOD DAMNIT I BLEW IT! I FREAKING BLEW IT! NOW SHE IS GONNA HATE MY GUYS AND BLAH BLAH BLAH AND THEN SHE IS GONNA- "I kinda like you, honest to god...too." She answers quietly.

"Oh my god, she and he admitted."

"How can you tell?"

"Their faces are bright red and Tey are giving that awkward smile to each other."

"Oh my god. Your right."

"I know I am."

They had admitted and you knew it. A bill was handed to Phil and Dan was also handed the bill. They both paid which was super sweet if them and you met up in the parking lot. Alena and Dan walked out to the parking lot a minute after you got there. "Didn't I tell you guys! This place a-MAZING food!" You say throwing your arms into the air. Alena smiles and nods. Dan does the same. Phil drives you guys home. Meaning his house, and you all play Mario Cart 007 on Nintendo DS.

Alena told you she would tell you what happened when you 2 got to the house.
