≫ WARNINGS; intense makeout, teasing.
Halloween was taken seriously in your small town in California. It meant different things to different people, but to your group of friends, it meant finally fitting into society.
Your pack of supernatural creatures allowed all of you to finally live freely, but there was a curse that came with it. Such as dealing with certain things that a teenager shouldn't be worried about, like death. But it seemed that it was the only thing that plagued your mind. And as a way to help you forget, your boyfriend, Scott McCall, had driven you to the nearest Halloween costume store to pick up matching costumes. At first, he had suggested that the two of you dress up as hot dog and ketchup, but you immediately turned it down at the thought of how ridiculous you two would look.
You were currently looking in the aisle where the werewolf masks were, and you reached out to touch one of them, a small smile on your face. The sad thing was, that your friends wore these masks all the time, not for fun but because it was their nature. And as if Scott could smell your sadness from a mile away, he came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist, resting his head on your shoulder. You laughed lightly, swatting his hands. Nevertheless, he still held on, an adequate smile on his face.
"You know I love you, right?" Scott kissed your cheek, which caused you to begin to stray away from the masks so that he would sense that you were finally happy again.
"Yes, Scott, I know. You only tell me about twenty times a day," You giggled in response. The two of you struggled to walk around in the position that you two were in, but you finally made it to the aisle that contained costumes in pairs. You began to look, Scott finally letting go of you as he helped.
"How about a cowgirl and a cowboy?" His face lit up as he picked up the costume, wiggling his eyebrows for effect.
You shook your head in disgust, "Do we look like Woody and Jessie from Toy Story?"
"Mhm, true. Okay, how about Batman and Batwoman?" He smiled even wider this time, causing you to sigh lightly.
"Scott, I know you love Stiles, but do we have to bring him into our costume shopping?" You teased, still rummaging through the packs of costumes on the rack. Just as you had turned your head to look at Scott, something behind him immediately caught your eye. It was a costume that definitely didn't seem to suit the two of you, but either way, it sparked your imagination. The Devil and the Angel. You walked towards the costume, pulling it off the rack and walking back over to Scott.
"How about this one, babe?" You grinned widely, hoping your smile would be enough to persuade him to even try it on. He raised his eyebrows at the sight of the costume, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Really? This one? And you turned down my costume ideas?" Scott smiled.
"No! Scott, look at this. This, is sexy. This, is what we need to dress up as!" You exclaimed, jumping up and down from the pure excitement. "At least try it on. Please? For me?"
"Fine," He replied, rolling his eyes. With a quick kiss on the cheek, you latched onto his arm and practically dragged him into the dressing room. Pulling the red curtain that divided the outside world and the two of you, you turned around to face Scott. You took off your shirt first so that you could try on the costume, causing Scott to turn around at the sight, giving you privacy. You then continued to unbutton your jeans, throwing them besides Scott. Once the tight white dress was on, all you had to do was attach the wings and the halo.
"How do I look?" You placed your hands on hips, twirling a bit as Scott turned around. His jaw practically hit the floor at the sight of you, your halo glittering as if it were real. The fluorescent scents made you look even paler, which added to the ethereal effect this costume brought. He struggled to make coherent words, finally just ending up with a smile.
"Y-You look s-so good," He managed to stutter out, gulping nervously as you slowly walked towards him, eyes ablaze with passion.
"You should try on your costume now," You held up his red costume in your hand, which consisted of a ragged red t-shirt, horns included. He shakily took it out of your hand, taking off his shirt, your eyes locked onto the sight of his body. Scott immediately felt awkward, rushing to put the shirt over his head, but you stopped him before he even had a chance to.
"How about we leave the costume off?" You tried to whisper in a seductive voice, only causing him to feel even more trapped by you. You threw the shirt he was planning to put on to the floor. After a few moments of gazing into each other's eyes, you finally crashed your lips against his, a fire burning in the pit of your stomach. His hands ran down your spine, making you shiver. You had your arms wrapped his neck as you slightly tip-toed to reach his lips.
You began to move your lips down to his jaw, knowing that he loved when you did that. He let out a small growl, which only made you feel more intrigued.
Suddenly, you heard the curtain swish open, and the two of you swiveled your heads to face the unknown person who had invaded your privacy. Luckily for you, it just so happened to be a worker.
"I'm sorry, but you two can't do that in the fitting room. It's against store policy, and not to mention, absolutely disgusting," The girl who didn't seem younger than 25 scolded. You and Scott laughed before collecting your clothes and putting them on, winking at the salesgirl as you walked out of the costume store.
"Do you think she hates us?"
"No, I think she wants to kill us."
