"Scott, who the hell are you to make a decision like that without me?" You push him angrily, your eyes glowing red. You ignore the rest of the pack.
"I had every right. This is my pack!" Scott yells back.
"This is our pack, Scott. You're not the only alpha," you growl feeling your canine teeth break out. How dare he change a freshman? You roar a roar that only alphas can causing Scott to take a step back.
"You may be a true alpha, Scott. But I'd rather be damned than let you do something like this again." You take a deep breath to control the emotions running wild inside of you. Slowly your eyes return to their normal color.
"I was trying to save him," Scott says with sorrow in his eyes.
"We don't change people, unless they want to themselves, Scott. I don't care if you thought it was saving him."
"I'm actually right here," Liam says raising his hand. You'd been out of town for a little while to help someone on the deadpool list, so you hadn't heard of this before your return.
"You smell differently," Malia points out.
"Malia, not now," you say but the others have caught onto the sent as well.
"She's right. What happened while you were away?" Scott asks. You growl but let the argument go for now.
"While I was helping those people from the deadpool list, I found Brett. He's - Well, he's my mate." You look down knowing that no one will be satisfied with this.
"Your mate? Is that actually a thing?" Stiles asks
"Out of all people your mate is Brett?" Liam asks with disgust written all over his face.
"Well, we didn't exactly choose it," Brett says coming up behind you. He places his arm around your waist and discretely breathes you in.
"I know most of you don't like Brett. But you've never made an attempt to either. He's my mate, and I can't change that. So we all have to make this work." You hear a small growl from Liam, so you growl back. Scott may have made him, but he answers to you too. This isn't going to be easy, but when were things ever easy in Beacon Hill?
