Awkward silence descended onto the room, you and Scott had a detention together, and after briefly explaining the rules the supervising teacher left, leaving you with your ex-boyfriend. You began to pick at your nails, while Scott walked aimlessly around the room, examining some books on the shelf. He pulled one out, and the the entire shelf level collapsed, making books fall everywhere. You burst out laughing, looking at Scott's shocked expression as he hurried to pick up the books. "Remember that time you dropped all the plates in the kitchen?" you said once your laugh subsided. Scott's head perked up at the remembrance of the memory. "Oh yeah! And then my mum made me drive to Target to get more." The both of you laughed when you remembered going to Target.
"That shop assistants face when you lifted an entire shelf to look for that coin!"
"And when you got lost and I had to track you." Scott inputted, reminding you of your bad sense of direction.
"Or when we went to that park and a dog tried to sniff your butt!"  The past 2 hours had been you and Scott basically reliving your entire relationship, but silence came after you spoke about the park, because a week later Scott had broken up with you. The both of you sat in silence, staring at the clock and begging the hand to touch the 6 so you could go home. "You know, we never had any bad times when we were together." Scott said, and you nodded, looking down at your lap. "Do you want to maybe get a coffee sometime?" Scott asked, making you look up at him. He was smiling shyly, scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah. I would like that." You said, Scott's face lit up.
"Great! I'll text you the time."
"Remember that time you accidently sent that really weird text to that lady instead of Stiles?" Scott burst into laughter again.
"And she wanted to call the police about me!" He said, still laughing hysterically.
The coffee catch up led to another date, and another after that. Soon enough Scott and you were back where you left off.
