"Stiles!" I shrieked, trying to run away. I couldn't help but laugh as he chased after me, icing on his finger. He finally caught me by the waist, spreading the red deliciousness down my cheek.
"Got you!" he yelled, hugging me to him before running back to the kitchen.
"Would you just finish decorating that damn snowman cookie," I chuckled, wiping my face off and shaking my head. Stiles sat down at the table and went back to icing as I put another tray of cookies into the oven.
"Alright, this is the last tray!"
"Finally!" he shouted. "I don't know if I can ice anymore." I rolled my eyes at him as I started to clean up the mess we had left behind. There was flour and dough and ingredients everywhere. I was able to get the kitchen cleaned up just before the timer went off for the cookies. I set them aside to cool and then sat down to help decorate.
"Look at this one!" I said, holding up the tree I had iced. "I even added little ornaments."
"It looks great, babe," Stiles complimented, giving me a smile. I grinned and set it aside. "What about this?" he asked, showing me a reindeer he had just finished. I could barely hold back the laugh bubbling in my throat.
"Sweety, it's adorable!" I told him, giving my best girlfriend face that I could. Stiles' expression fell as he examined it again.
"What? What's wrong with it?"
"Nothing!" I replied, letting a few giggles escape. He glared at me, wanting an answer. I broke, laughing loudly. "I'm sorry, it's just- its face is a little funny."
"It is not!" he defended, huffing at me. I shook my head, not wanting to look at the cross-eyed, buck-toothed cookie anymore. He mumbled something to himself and picked up another cookie to decorate.
After a few hours, we were finally done with them all. We collapsed on his couch, our hands stained with food coloring.
"I'll come by and pick them up tomorrow, okay? That way you won't have to worry about dropping them off at the school," I told him. Stiles nodded in agreement, relieved to not have to deal with that responsibility. I got up and gathered my things, giving him a quick kiss before driving home and falling into bed.
The next day, I let myself in to Stiles' house, calling out his name as I set my stuff down. Before I could walk into the kitchen, he came running down the stairs, stopping in front of me with wide eyes.
"Hey, Y/N," he greeted, out of breath. I chuckled and kissed his cheek.
"Hi there," I said. "I'll grab the cookies and drop them off, then maybe we could hang?"
"Uh, yeah, sounds great," Stiles agreed, nodding his head a few too many times. I squinted my eyes at him, trying to move into the kitchen, but he blocked my way.
"Stiles," I started. "Let me in."
"I, uh- I can't do that."
"Why not?" I asked, crossing my arms. He opened his mouth to speak, but closed it, shaking his head and shrugging. With a roll of my eyes, I shoved him aside and walked into the kitchen. I stopped dead in my tracks when my eyes landed on an empty cookies container. "Where are all the cookies?"
"They aren't there? Wow, that's weird," he said, walking in and rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. I turned on him, eyes narrowed to slits.
"Stiles," I growled. He swallowed visibly and backed up.
"I may haven...eaten some...or all of them..." he trailed quietly.
"What do you mean you ate all the cookies?" I snarled, advancing on him.
"It wasn't just me!" he defended, backing into the living room. "Dad ate some, too!" He pointed to his father just as he came down the stairs.
"What?" the sheriff asked, giving us a look.
"Mr. Stilinski, did you eat any of those cookies that were in the kitchen?" I asked, my voice dangerously edged. He glanced to his son with wide eyes before looking back at me.
"Uhhhh, I had one. Maybe two," he answered. I stared him down, forcing him to crack. "Alright, I had a lot. I'm sorry, Y/N, they were just so good!" I let out a loud sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose.
"You two are ridiculous, I swear," I mumbled, marching into the kitchen. "Come on!" I called. "You're helping me make more!"
