I'd been awestruck when I first saw Kira at school. She might have seemed strange and awkward to everyone else but I found her quirks quite cute. I introduced myself to her that day and she stuttered but that only made me smile.
That was seven months ago. I had fully developed a crush on Kira now. She's changed since we first met. Her inner kitsune was a shock but like Stiles, I decided to help my supernatural friends. I was mesmerized by how Kira's balance seemed to be almost acrobatic once she had a katana in her hands.
She was the sweetest person ever yet I was so frightened to tell her about my feelings. I mean, I wasn't even sure if Kira liked girls - much less me. She came over to my house so we could study for our English exam. Her hair framed her face beautifully, she was whisper-reading to herself and I couldn't help but smile.
"Kira?" I called her attention as we sat across from each other on my bed.
She looked up and smiled, "Yes, Y/N?"
"I need to tell you something... And I have no clue how you're gonna take it," I said.
"Is something wrong? Did someone hurt you?" she asked, coming to her own conclusions.
"No, no. Kira...," I stopped.
"What is it, Y/N?"
"I like you. A lot. I'm in love with you," I confessed, never breaking eye contact. I bit my lower lip, anxious about her reaction until I she hugged me with so much strength that I was on my back. I hugged her back, my arms wrapping around her lower back.
"I love you, too, Y/N!" she whispered. She moved her head so that I could see her face and I swept a few stray strands behind her ear. I sat up and she wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck.
"That's the best thing you've ever said," I joked, "Now that we've said what we had to say. I wanna ask you something." She nodded, encouraging me to continue, her brown eyes looked beautifully bright. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked.
"Definitely," she answered and hugged me again.
