"WES!" I hollered as he began running, and panicking, I began following him. He turned the corner where I had caught a glimpse of Keaton, and by the time I had gotten there, he disappeared. I began to notice that the mall was unusually quiet. Looking around shaky, I approached the rail, looked down on the base floor, and then threw my head up, as a poster came clinging down. It was tied two floors above me and was so huge that it ended a little above where I was standing. Music began in the background and not just any music. Me and Wesley had our own theme song. We had done billions of home remixes and spent hours laughing, and talking over its melody. This was OUR song. But no matter how many times I had asked him to sing it all for me once he never did. He said it would only be on a special occasion. He always made me sing and he used to rap ridiculously. And there it was, playing in the background, as Wes approached me with an enormous bouquet of flowers and began singing in the microphone.

"My first..my last..." I tried singing along but came apart crying. His voice was perfect for the song, and others began crowding around us. This was so unlike him. It was exactly my type of perfect romanticism. I remember describing to him what my perfect marriage proposal would be like. At a crowded area, with a poster saying 'will you marry me' and a husband singing along to Barry White. Exactly like this... EXACTLY LIKE THIS. Wes remembered! At the realization, I gasped, choking on my tears, clumsily holding on to the rail and felt Drew steady me from behind. Wes was staring right into my eyes, piercing his voice through my thoughts. He came closer, stroked my cheek and my attention shifted towards the poster. Well, it wasn't a 'will you marry me" -thankfully- but it was just as breath-taking.

"Best 31 days of my life", the words were drawn inside a heart.

'Baby...' I whispered, clearly touched. I think it's safe to say, he hadn't forgotten after all. The song was coming to a finish and Wesley had taken on a bright red color, still sounding perfect. I winced as he gave a final finale and was unfortunately holding the microphone a little too close to my ear drum. A small applause broke as we collided in each other's arms and kissed. Wes pushed me back, catching his breath and I laughed happily.

"Happy one month cutie! I'm so lucky to have met you!" I murmured in his ear in an almost seductive tone, holding my tears back once again.

"Now let's go to Kevin's cause the manager wasn't THAT happy about us closing up the crowd for an hour when we asked him!" Wes spoke in a matter of fact tone and picked me up bridal style. Almost at a jogging speed, we sang along quietly to Barry White as we got out, people staring around us and girls quietly screaming, literally hanging themselves from their friends to stop each other from attacking Wesley and confessing their love, and tearing my eyes out.

"Phew... I didn't realize it was going to be SO crazy. Sorry about that..." He rubbed the back off his head uncomfortably.

"Sorry? Wes you can be everything BUT sorry! It was absolutely amazing!" I exclaimed and grabbed his hand, maneuvered it around my waist, and felt his neck with both of my hands as I kissed him slowly and romantically. I knew that slow kisses and his neck were his weak spot, so this was my 'thank you' gesture. As soon as things got heated up, he took a quick step back without warning, banging himself on the door of his car.

"SHIT! Ouch.. RAY! You know I can't stand when you... well, you... just.. NOT HERE." He laughed nervously crossing his feet constantly and got quickly back into the car.

I laughed so hard that by the time I got in after him, I was rubbing my belly sour from laughter. For a  minute Wes looked frustrated, and snapped his hat out of his hair, shook his head, and then put it back on, flashing me a smile as I breathed out in relief. He mumbled something incomprehensible to himself, and then looked through his phone without starting the engine.

"Hurry up dude, I'm leaving!" He said and then hang up, mouthing an annoyed "Drew" as he started the car. The next instant I saw two familiar figures running towards us, soon shaping into Drew and Keaton. They hopped in filled with apologies for being late, and both smirked at each other, when Wes teased, "Too much autograph-giving?".

Drew's eyes wondered around the trees and highway as Wes sped by. He was distracted by something and I couldn't understand what. He was somehow not the Drew I knew, but today was my day with Wes, exclusively, and I decided not to let it get to me that much.

"Drew, you ok dude?" I spoke in my new-found Cali accent.

"Yeah, yeah fine." He smiled. He was definitely not fine.

When we reached Kevin's crib, the music and noise could be heard from all the way down at the Main Road. There were beer bottles hanging from the curtains, and the smell of steak haunted the air like a cholesterol warning. Kevin was a party-doer not a party-goer and he was always the life of the parties he threw. So I didn't even feel a pinch of anxiety as I stepped into the crowded house, being so used to them by now. There were bare-chested men and women, wearing only their swimming suits splashing in and out of a home-made pool, making out on surfboards, grilling or just dancing their asses off.

"Dude Maxxxx! Turn it lower, are you psycho?" Keaton screamed, the second he stepped inside.

"What a barbeque.." Wes winked and whispered through my brown hair, breathing softly in my ear and holding his powerful hand around my shoulder in protection. But my mind was somewhere else right now. Besides being completely in love with Wesley, throughout everything we had gone through together and all the time we'd spent in the past month, I had grown to love all his friends as well. But particularly one had drawn my attention, one who viewed life differently than any other person I'd ever met. And my feelings built up and extended more and more with every second more we spent together. Now, if it wasn't an exaggeration on my part, I could say he was almost my best friend. The one I could always talk to about things that Wesley sometimes didn't understand.

"Where's Drew?" I looked up at him. Annoyed, he shrugged and moved along to the bar ignorantly. I knew he had begun to hate the attention I was giving Drew, but I had told him multiple times that he wasn't threatened by anyone and I only had eyes for him. Everyone else is just a friend. But Drew wasn't there and as I pulled the curtain open, I realized that our car was missing as well, so as I had correctly observed, Drew was gone. Unfortunately, I would have to borrow Kevin's car for a while without him knowing, not that he would be needing it in the next twelve hours. Fortunately, I knew exactly where I was going to find Drew.
