"I will pick you up at six don't forget!" Jake yelled behind him as I was hurryingly putting my shoes back on.

Oh right. Shit. Today, the mysterious rendezvous.

"Jake, where did you say we were going to go?" I smiled, knocking my forehead with my fingers, showing my annoyance for 'forgetting' where it was that we were going.

"RAY! I told you! Charity banquet.... the whole community is coming! Dress nicely won't you!" he teased back to annoy me. And he had succeeded.

Pissed off I threw myself on him without a thought and whined about how I always dressed nicely to formal events. He always teased me about my style and that always got to me. Our hands entwined and our bodies smashed and leaped around each other as we fought for freedom out of the bed. He clutched my fists in his arms and didn't let go, and with a swift movement he was over me, breathing right in my face. We remained still, looking straight into each other's eyes, pondering about all the moments in the past where we had found ourselves in such a position. It was different now though and he knew that as well as I did. He freed my hands and lifted his weight to the side of the bed and boosted my body upwards helping me get up.

"Uh.. sorry" he muttered.

I looked at him, confused because an apology was the last thing I had expected. He had done nothing wrong. It was just... a moment. But no time for moments now.

"I'll see you at six" I said and left his room, and then the house.

When I reached back at my place, I saw my parents' car in the driveway and caught a glimpse of my mom cleaning the house from the window. This meant I was going to have to do some explaining on where I had been at 11:30 in the morning. Going to Jake would obviously sound suspicious to my sister. But to my relief as soon as I stepped in the house, my mom told me Jess had gone over to her friend's to set up the new phone she had bought for her birthday. My mother was a genius. She immediately gathered enough to understand I had been up to something and offered her services to help me. We decided that heading to the supermarket now that the house was pretty much quiet was the best start.

Time flew by and my sister had not yet returned or even given us a call by the time we returned. As always my mom insisted on us buying DOUBLE the amount we would initially need, because in her mind, 'better safe than sorry'. So we bought about two dozen bags of chips, chocolate ice-cream, drinks (yes, my mom was pretty cool with my sister having a little alcohol now that she was a year closer to 21) and other beverages and appetizers the kids might want. Next up was deciding where we were going to throw the party. Inside the house was a definite no from both my parents and I wasn't too hot about doing it inside either. We owned the largest garden in the neighborhood but there was no one to take care of it so we never used our back doors for anything. Suddenly I had an idea, but I convinced my mom to call Greta's, Jess's best friend's mom and convince her to keep my sister there for a while longer.

"Of course darling! I would ask her to sleepover but I know it's her birthday tomorrow so I thought you would want her home!" I heard her voice through the phone.

My mom hesitated because truth was, she did want her home, but I nudged her shoulder and nodded my head wildly. This was perfect. Everything was falling into place. No more sister for the rest of the day, which meant time for work.

"Hey, it's me" I spoke quickly into the phone the second Jake picked up.

"What's wrong?" He asked confused.

"I was wondering if you wanted to help me prepare for tomorrow... if you wanted to come over now maybe..?" I asked quietly and shyly. He didn't even have to think about it and immediately agreed to meet me at my place in about thirty minutes. Oh Jake.
