Forgive me

Damon POV

I stood there stunned, she just poured her heart out and here I am standing here like an idiot not knowing what to do, I faced Gabby whose eyes were wide.

"Y-you found y-your m-m-mate ?" She squeaked out looking at me in disbelief, she slapped her hand over her mouth.

"Oh god I shouldn't have done that, Damon I'm really sorry" She said with watery eyes.

I didn't say anything I just followed my mate's scent, looking for her, I silently prayed that she would forgive me or at least hear my apologie.
I found her at the waterfall, of course she loves this place, she was still in wolf form, and was sitting on the edge of the river, her head laid over her front paws and she was looking in the distant, she breathed in and she tensed once she smelled my scent, she turned her head slightly and looked at me from the corner of her grey eyes, she placed her head back on her paws and ignored me.

I walked over to her and sat down next to her too close to her liking because she hissed at me and stood up  and walked away.

"Can you please let me explain at least ? It's not what it looked like" I begged her, I just want her to hear me out then she can do whatever she wants.

She didn't listen and kept wondering in the forest, I got up and dusted my pants walking behind her.
She snapped her jaw at me and growled.

"Damn it leave me alone" She snapped in the mate link

"Lex I swear Gabby was my childhood  best friend, she lost her mate a while back and people said that she killed herself, just now she showed up and I was really surprised to see her alive, I was to shocked to react, my hands were on her waist only because I was going to pull her away, I'm so so sorry please believe me, I'm not lying, I know you know that I'm not, please just believe me" I explained in the mind link, my voice becoming a whisper at the end.

I understand that she knows I'm not lying, it's one of the positives in a mate bond you know when your mate is lying and when he is telling the truth, and it's even stronger because I marked her.

She shook her head and ran off again, I wanted to follow her but I know she needs some time alone to think.

I messed up really badly

"No shit sherlock" Xavier snapped in my head

"She's my mate too and you have to fix it, you're such an idot sometimes" he continued

"I know that, and I'm trying my best here" I told him

He growled at me and blocked me.

Great now my mate and my wolf are mad at me.

Suddenly I felt a wave of emotions, anger, frustrating, sadness.
They weren't mine, those were Alex's emotions, I whimpered knowing my mate is sad because of me.

What do I do now.

Alex POV

I so badly wanted to believe him and I do, I know he isn't lying  but a small sorry wasn't going to fix all this, he messed up really badly.

Right now all I wanted to do is rip off that girl's head, how dare she even do that, even though she lost her mate, she doesn't have a right going around kissing other people's mates.

Imagining Damon right now over there with that girl made me more furious, what if he was kissing her again, he wouldn't do that would he?
this is so frustrating, maybe I should go check on them, god I'm acting like a glingy girlfriend, but I'm not just a girlfriend I'm his mate.

Can I even trust him now?

Actually I do I trust him, after this I still do.

When I came back to reality, I groaned and took off to the pack house, I could still hear people's laughter and voices.
I let go a breath I didn't even know I was holding, knowing they didn't stop the party because I left de-stressed me, I didn't want to ruin the party.

I saw Megan from the distance standing in front of the redhead, pointing a finger at the girl's chest and waving her arms like a maniac, I used my wolf hearing to listen to what they were saying.

"Give me one fuckin reason to not kill you right now" Megan yelled at the girl

"I-I a-m s-sorry, I didn't k-know he f-found his m-mate" the girl stuttered

"You know, you're one of the reasons my best friend is heart broken, I should probably break your face because you broke her heart, but I'm not going to do that." Meg said making the girl sigh in relief, but Megan smirked at her.

"Because she's going to do that once she comes back" she said, making the redhead gulp

"Bye now" she waved her hand and left leaving the girl shaking with fear.

I chuckled to my self, that was totally something Megan would do, but she is right I'm going to kill that girl.

I kept walking until I was in the garden, all eyes fell on me and everything went dead silent,when Megan's gaze fell on me her eyes light up, she dashed to me and gave me a quick hug, I told her to get me some clothes and she sprinted in the house.

Some of the members were looking at me with pride, others with a slight smirk like they knew what I was about to do, others with sadness in there eyes and some with a smile.

Megan was in view again and she gave me some clothe, I hid behind a tree and slipped on the clothe.

My eyes scanned the crowd until they fell on a shaking redhead.

This should be fun.
