Alex POV

1 years later...

"Babe if you don't hurry we're going to be late" I heard Damon yell from the hallway

"Coming !" I said and finished my make up, I slipped on my high heels and left the room to find Damon bouncing his foot looking at his wrist and tapping his finger on his watch.

His eyes roamed over my body until they made contact with my eyes and he grinned at me.

"You look beautiful" he said wrapping his arms around my waist leading me to the car, he was wearing black dresspants with a white button down shirt with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, he just looked so gorgeous.

We were going out to some restaurant that's all I knew I didn't know why or where.

"Why are we going out again?" I asked once he got in the driver's seat.

"What ? I can't take my beautiful mate out ?" He said giving me a dazzling smile and I smiled back, it was so contagious.

The whole car ride went like this, us talking and laughing, after exactly fifty minutes later we arrived to the human town, twenty more minutes later we stopped at a fancy restaurant, Damon got out and gave the keys to a valet after glaring at him, then came my way and looped his arm around my waist leading us inside.

We found our table in the middle of the room and sat down, I played unconsciously with my charm bracelet that Damon got me for my 18th birthday a few weeks ago, it was a thick white gold chain and it had small charms dangling from it.

My eyes scanned over the menu , lingering on the french words, my eyebrows knighted at the sight of those countless words.

"What do you want to eat ?" Damon asked me lowering his menu to meet my eyes.

"Fun fact about me, I can not read french to save my life" I said and placed the menu back on the table.

He chuckled and grinned at me, his eyes glistened for a second, he blinked and diverted his gaze to the right, I followed his line of sight just in time to see a familiar girl dressed in a watress uniform nodding her head at him.
I coked my eyebrow at him.

"Did you just order using the mind link" I asked him rolling my eyes

"I just wanted to save Zoe sometime " he shrugged

Zoe is a member in our pack, weeks ago she begged me to help her convince Damon to work here, turns out her mate is a human and he works here also, ar first Damon refused he didn't want to endanger her because she left the territory but after a lot of pleading and begging he was okay with it.

Damon was telling me about a meeting that happened recently, apparently a large groupe of rogues are trying to take down a pack and the rogues outnumber the pack itself so their Alpha is asking help from other packs.
Damon agreed helping him.

We were eating silently when Damon suddenly stood up and asked for everyone's attention, I felt hundreds of eyes on us.

"What are you doing ?" I asked Damon feeling uncomfortable under all those gaze, he just smiled at me and for the first time I saw Damon nervous.

"Nobody knows the real me, nobody knows the thoughts that go through my head, nobody knows how many times I've lost hope of finding that one special person, but then you stumbled in my life and instantly filled my thoughts, you were gentle and you figured out the real me. Right from the start when you showed up I knew that I had to make you mine before anyone stole you from me.
I seen you dressed super nice, I seen you naked, I seen you with your sweatpants,hair tied up, wearing no makeup, I seen you cry, laugh, mad, smile, I seen you sleeping, wide awake,hyper, mellow. You were always the same beautiful girl. I want to wake up every morning to your smile ,your eyes, your laugh, your voice, your existence, You.
So Alexandra Thompson Will you marry me ?"

I was speachless, Damon was on one knee in front of me in all his glory holding in his hand a red box, inside of it was a gold ring with a huge stone, but I didn't spare the ring another look my eyes found Damon's and I felt like my heart melted.

"Yes " I whispered but he heard me, his lips broke into a grin matching mine.

I heard clapping and whistles around me,but I focused on the man in front of me.

His arms engulfed me and I felt his warmth wrapping around me, I wanted to stay in this moment for life.

"I love you" his voice was husky and I shivered.

"I love you more" I tightened my arms around his neck when his lips met mine this kiss wasn't like the other we shared it was passionate, we were pouring our hearts out in this one kiss.

To say I'm nervous is a statement, we're back home and I'm in the bathroom trying to control my nerves, I took a deep breath and picked up the blue square  box, I opened the door and Damon was sitting on the bed typing away on his phone, once he saw me coming he glared one more time at the phone and threw it on the nightstand, he smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Hey Damon I have something for you" I said smiling nervously

He frowned "What is it ?"

I gave him the box and watched closely, he opened it carefully and took the blue card from the box, on the card was written 'What is a dad ?' in white ink, he raised an eyebrow at me and I motioned for him to continue, he opened the card and inside was written 'You. You're a dad'
Realisation washed over him and eyes wided looking at me in disbelief.

"Y-you're pregnant? " He stuttered out still in shock, I bit my lip and nodded my head slowly waiting for his reaction.
It was priceless his eyes brightened and his face broke into a hug grin reaching his eyes, he stood up taking me up easily with him, he twirled me around in his embrace, kissing every inch of my face, I wrapped my arms around his neck and giggled at his behaviour.

And in that moment I had everything.
