Chapter 14

Caroline's POV

Klaus was  about to kiss me and for how much I knew I shouldn't let me, I wasn't going to stop him and suddenly I heard a knocked on the door.

"Come in" I said and took a few steps to have a little more distance between me and Klaus.

"Hey dad! Caroline can we talk?" Hope asked me and I nodded.

"You guys can talk all you want, I am going to the office." Klaus said and I gave him a smile then looked at Hope when he get out and closed the door behind him.

"Who's the hot guy? He is really just your friend? Did you guys dated?"

"You mean Stiles..." I said and she nodded quickly "He is and always was just my friend, actually we see each other like we were siblings, he's my best friend."

"Oh... Is he gay?"

"What? No. Why?" I asked smiling then realize it and added "You like him, don't you?"

"Whaaaaaaat? That's crazy. Like so crazy..." She said and start laughing but I just stay there looking at her with a smirk. "Fine. I kind of feel attracted to him. But I don't think it would work out."

"Why do you say that?"

"First of all he seems look at me as a friend and second of all no guy as ever been able to officially dating with me because I am the daughter of the big bad hybrid and everyone is afraid that they will get killed if they even touch me. Hell, even I am afraid for the guys that I like when they talk to me more friendly because my father still thinks of me as his little girl..." She said looking at the ground sadly then look at me and added "Please don't say any of this to my dad..."

"Of course. I won't tel him."

"Thanks. It's just he still thinks I'm that little girl who he had to protect all the time against evil and I'm not that little girl anymore... Just so you can see how he is, he still believes I'm a virgin."

"Seriously?" I asked and she nodded. "Look, maybe your father sometimes can be too protective but he is just afraid of you getting hurt."

"It's funny. Everyone says that my father is evil and everyone fear of him but he is the one who tries to protect me from evil." Hope said making me smile.

"I guess it's what a parent do." I said with a small smile and then we hugged. "Well, I better go find where you guys keep the blood bags."

"It's in the basement where's a fridge." She said and I nodded.

I tried to find the freaking door to the stupid basement but nothing, I decided to ask Klaus, I just knew where he was because I knew his scent too well... I knocked on the door and Klaus open it with a surprised face when saw me but quickly change to a smirk.

"Missing me already, love?" He asked with his cute, I mean stupid smirk.

"Actually I was trying to find where were any blood bags but I didn't find them anywhere so I decided to come here because you probably know."

"Why don't you just come here whenever you need some blood bag, I have a mini fridge with blood bags for the times when I am too concentrate in painting and can drink while I'm painting..." He told me and I nodded with a thank you smile.

I walked over to the office and saw that wasn't a office but a studio, filled with a tones of drawings and paintings, then Klaus went to his mini fridge and gave me a blood bag which was B+

"Thanks! It's my favorite."

"I know." He said with a smirk then added "That's why I ask my minions to bring me some blood bags of this type when you moved in."

"Seriously?" I asked and he nodded "You didn't had to do that."

"I know..." He said "But I wanted to... To make you feel happy."

We were now really closed and my heart was beating like crazy, I was feeling his breath in my skin and I was lost in his beautiful deep blue eyes and then I realized that he was leaning to kiss me and I leaned to and when our lips were about to touch I stop myself.

"We can't. I can't." I said more to reason myself then him.

"Why?" He asked me.

"Because I live by a few rules and my golden rule is not get attached and/or have any commitments." I said.
