Niklaus's POV

"Because I live by a few rules and my golden rule is not get attached and/or have any commitments." She said like if it wasn't nothing special and what worried me was that I said those exact words a few years before I met her and I had a lonely life because of that but I was okay with that because I didn't remember how was loving someone.

"I had once that rule in my life. Life become pretty lonely..." I admitted.

"I don't care. It's the best for me..." She said.

"Do you really believe that?" I asked her in disbelief.

"Yes. Now can we stop talking about that." She said and was about to walk away but I grabbed her wrist making her stop and turn to see me.

"I'm sorry. I just don't want you to have a life like I had..." I said and she looked at me so I could continue "before I met you I was really lonely and I become this person that I hated because loneliness become my only partner and I don't want you to pass through the same... If wasn't you I probably would still be that guy that I was and that I wasn't proud of."

"I didn't do anything. Hope was the person who changed you not me." She said with a small smile.

"You have no idea how you change me, have you?"

"Stop talking like that."

"Like what?" I asked, faking that I didn't know what she was referring to...

"You know very well. You and me won't happen so stop with the flirting and with everything."

"How are you so sure about that?" I asked her and she stayed in silence. "I can see you want it. Why don't you admit it?"

"Because for admit such a thing, I needed to want to have something serious and I don't want it." She said and I just could feel how close I was to Caroline but also how far I was...

"Who said about having something serious?" I asked her with a smirk, looking at her lips and getting closer, then Caroline kissed me with passion, lust and hunger, with her hand on my neck pulling me to be the closest to her as I could be which made me smirk.

I took her dress making me look at her body with admiration and like if it was the first time because her beauty is simply magnificent and unique, no woman was as beautiful as Caroline, she smiled and blushed a little and the wrapped her legs in my waist making me smirk and we kissed each other once more with desire, I put her in my desk then she took my t-shirt and look at me with desire making me smirk even more, then she pull me to a kiss once more and we were now laying down on the desk kissing each other, then I left her lips and travel to her neck searching for her sweet spot and didn't took too long to hear her moaning my name, making me smirk, then I kissed her breast and her belly making her moan my name once more then she pulled me to another hungry kiss and then I had mind-blowing sex, it was even better then I had remember.
