I wanted to spend more time on Charlie. I wanted to spend more time making him happy. And I did.
Charlie: im in a bad place again
Me: What's wrong?
Charlie: i dont know
Me: *cuddles* it's going to be okay
Charlie: you sure?
Me: Absolutely
I ignored the texts from Emilia to send these few to Charlie, then I got back to her.
Emilia: Sorry
Emilia: You're probably really busy
Emilia: But can I ask why you ignore me so much?
Me: I don't know
Me: It just kinda happened
I lied.
Emilia: Is it something I've done?
Emilia: Am I annoying?
Emilia: Please don't hate me
Me: I don't hate you
Me: I'm just
Me: I don't know
Emilia: You've probably found someone else
Emilia: Someone better than me
Me: No that's not what it is
I lied again.
Emilia: I'll leave you be
I went to sleep. I didn't want to talk to either of them that night. I felt horrible.
"Why can't you concentrate on two people at once?" I asked myself. Or, rather, the voice in my head asked me. "You're going to lose all your friends".
I didn't cry. I just laid there awake for what seemed like forever before drifting off into an uneasy sleep.
