The next day was pretty uneventful, well that was until a fight broke out next to my locker. I quickly pulled out my books and closed my locker and got out of the girl’s way. I had no idea what they were fighting about but I’m sure it had something to do about a guy going out with the both of them at the same time.
Teenagers were so immature. Why can’t people ever act normal and get along.
I brought my books closer to my chest and looked around. The girls fighting and the group of kids surrounding them were in my closest path to my next class, that meant I’d have to go the long way.
I walked quickly to my neck class but as soon as I heard the bell ring I knew that meant I was late.
When I finally got to the classroom the door was closed, great and this teacher wasn’t the nicest to people who are late. I opened the door and everyone looked at me. My teacher shook her head and wrote down on the familiar looking detention sheet.
“Next time be on time Miss Brooks, detention tonight room 405,” she told me. I sighed and nodded then took my seat. I’ve always been a good student. I’ve never gotten a detention before and I hated that I know how to sit for two hours in some boring room with absolutely nothing to do.
“Good luck in there,” Amanda told me as she walked me to the room the detentions were being held tonight.
“This is so unfair if it wasn’t for that fight I wouldn’t have had this detention,” I said. She nodded with a frown.
“It won’t be so bad, it’s just this once then you won’t have to do it again,” she told me. I nodded and gave her a small hug. “See you tomorrow,” she said and turned around waving. I sighed again and walked in.
I sighed the sheet the teacher in charge had put out to show we actually attended then took a spot near the back. I wondered if I’d be allowed to do homework while I was in here.
“Well look who we have here,” a familiar voice came. I shot my head up and to my horror Louis had walked in and was now making his way towards me. I rolled my eyes and pulled out my papers. “Welcome to the dark side goody goody,” he teased taking a seat next to me. I shot him a quickly glare. He was wearing a dark beanie on his head and had cut off jean shorts with a black tank top. His tattooed arms were clearly visible on his muscular arms. I pulled my eyes off him and looked back down at my bag and pulled out a few of my homework papers. Louis stifled a laugh. “Don’t even try it we’re not allowed doing homework to pass the time,” he told me. I looked up at him dropping my shoulders.
“What are we supposed to do then?” I asked. He chuckled again shaking his head apparently amused that this was my first detention experience.
“Stair at the wall and count the tiles,” he stated. I rolled my eyes putting my papers back in my bag then crossed my arms. “So what are you in for?” he asked.
“You make it sound like we’re in a prison,” I said turning my head away.
“We basically are,” he stated. I rolled my eyes and sighed. “So what did you do?” he asked again. I looked at him again a hard annoyed stare in my eyes.
“What’s it to you?” I asked. He shrugged.
“It’s no secret you’re one of the most well behaved students in this school, have you finally decided to rebel and join forces with me?” he asked with a cocky smile.
“I’d rather run for student body president,” I spat at him. He chuckled a bit.
“You’re funny,” he stated. I rolled my eyes.
“You’re annoying, now will you leave me alone?” I asked. He looked up in thought.
“Ummm, no,” he stated and smiled brightly at me. I rolled my eyes.
“You’re such a freak,” I said.
“Say what you want babe I’ve heard it all before,” he stated looking down. I glanced at him for a moment and couldn’t help but see a slight frown on his face. He quickly looked up and replaced it with a smirk. “So what are you doing after this is over?” he asked.
“Going home,” I stated with a sigh.
“I could walk you home,” he offered still smirking. I rolled my eyes.
“No thank you, last thing I need is for you to rub off on me,” I stated. A wide grin spread across his face. I shut my eyes with a deep sigh. “Please don’t tell me you took that the wrong way,” I said with agitation in my voice. He chuckled a bit.
“Oh I did indeed and I enjoyed it,” he stated. I shook my head.
“Would you bug off already you little pest,” I snapped at him.
“Alright alright settle down detention starts now, everyone face front, no talking” the teacher explained to us, rather harshly in my opinion. Geez maybe he was right, this was kind of like a prison and we were treat like prisoners.
