“Jenn?” Harry’s startled voice came. The lights were switched on as I held myself and cried. “Jennifer,” Harry spoke calmly as he came over and bent down beside me. I drew in a shaky breath. “What’s the matter?” he asked. I shook my head rolling on my back and covered my face with my hands. “Jenn,” Harry said worriedly placing his hand on my stomach.
“I’m fine,” I croaked out and sniffed loudly.
“Are you okay?” Harry asked placing his hand under my back and lifting me to sit up. I whipped my eyes dry running my hands through my hair.
“It was just a bad dream,” I said and let out a small cough. Harry rubbed my back sympathetically. “Your floor his hard,” I complained with a pout.
“Well it’s not meant to fall onto off the couch silly,” Harry said. I smiled a bit and sighed whipping my eyes again. “Come, tell me about your dream,” Harry offered getting to his feet and helping me up. He walked me to his room keeping and arm around me.
“It was horrible,” I said frowning.
“What was it?” he asked. We got into his room and he sat be down. I laid down and he put the covers over me before getting in beside me.
“It was of Danny shooting you and Louis, and telling me that it was all my fault,” I explained fixating myself with my hands so I didn’t have to look Harry in the eye.
“That is in no way true and Danny doesn’t even have a gun so there’s no way he’d shoot us,” Harry offered rubbing my arm sympathetically.
“How do you know?” I asked looking at him. Harry bent his arm up and rest his head on his hand looking back at me.
“Louis knows more about him than even he knows. He doesn’t own a gun all he has in that blade,” Harry explained.
“Well then what if you guys get stabbed. Louis told me that you guys were planning a fight,” I said quietly. Harry nodded.
“Let us worry about that okay, we’ve done this before we know what we’re doing,” he stated.
“You’ve done it before?”I asked a little alarmed.
“No. I just mean that we know what to expect and we know how to handle ourselves,” he explained. I nodded slowly. “Listen we’ve been around the block a couple of times, we’re used to this sort of stuff. We’re not worried at all, it’s more annoying than scary to us,” he explained. I nodded again with a sigh.
“I just don’t want you guys getting hurt,” I said worried. Harry nodded and smiled at me.
“We’ll be fine. I promise,” he assured me. I nodded again with a small smile back feeling a little better. “Now go to sleep it’s late,” he said. I nodded and stared up at the ceiling. I closed my eyes but opened them quickly after a few moments. I closed them again and opened them quickly. I felt restless, or paranoid and I knew it wasn’t going to be easy to get back to sleep. “Come here,” Harry’s low voice whispered as he draped and arm around me. “I’ll keep you safe from bad dreams,” he said sweetly. I smiled nuzzling closer to him.
“Thanks,” I said and gave him a small kiss on his cheek.
“Just so you know I’m doing this as a big brother sort of way. I’m not hitting on your or anything, we’re just friends,” Harry quickly clarified. I laughed a bit.
“Of course, just friends,” I confirmed. “And you’re the nicest big brother type friend I could ask for,” I told him. He smiled a bit with his eyes shut.
“Anytime, now sleep,” he whispered. I turned my head to the side feeling my eyes get heavier already.
I felt safer, more secure and with the warmth of Harry’s arm hung over me I quickly drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
