“I love it,” I whispered to him. His shoulders relaxed and he smiled back at me. He pulled me over onto the blanket. I kicked my shoes off and took a seat. Louis sat down across from me and started filling up my plate for me.
He was so cute to watch, he looked like a normal guy, like a guy that was only capable of good. It was hard to believe he was the same guy that beat that man up on Friday. He looked up at me and I smiled at him.
“What are you staring at?” he asked with a smirk as he began filling his plate up with food.
“The best boyfriend in the world,” I stated. He let out a cute laugh.
“I try,” he said innocently shooting me a quick smile. He looked around as if checking to make sure everything was perfect. “Oh I almost forgot,” he said getting back up. I watched him walk over to the deck and pull over a small radio that was attached to a long extension cord. He placed it beside us then pulled out his Ipod and plugged it to the radio. He hit play and music started playing on low. I smiled at him my heart bursting with happiness in my chest.
“This is perfect Louis,” I told him.
“I told you I’d make it up to you,” he said sweetly. I chuckled a bit.
“I think this covers you for Friday plus the next stupid thing you do,” I teased. He laughed picking up his fork and poked at his food. I started to eat some of the thing he put on my plate and sighed happily looking around his yard. He had a really nice home. I liked coming to his house, we didn’t have to hide here. Besides the fact that Louis’ mom clearly has given up and stopped paying a lot of attention to him they accepted us.
“You look really beautiful today,” Louis told me softly. I turned my head and smiled at him shyly.
“Thanks, I only dress this way for you,” I said looking down at myself. He smiled more.
“Good cause if you start dressing pretty for some other guy we’re going to have a problem,” he teased. I laughed a bit.
“I dunno, Harry’s kind cute. Wouldn’t mind him checking me out,” I teased. Louis’ face fell with worry as he dropped his fork.
“You like Harry?” he asked his voice dripping with sadness.
“It was a joke Louis, of course not,” I said gently reaching over and placed my hand on his lap. “I didn’t mean it honestly,” I told him.
“Kay, don’t scare me like that,” he said. I smiled a bit.
“Is Louis Tomlinson insecure about something?” I asked curiously with a smirk.
“What? No,” he said looking away. I smiled a bit tilting my head to the side. He looked back at me and sighed as he shrugged his shoulders. “I dunno, I just care about you and don’t wanna lose you,” he said.
“Hey,” I said softly reaching over and rubbed his knee again. “I’m not going anywhere, it was a joke. Trust me I could never date Harry, you’re a lot more tame than he is,” I explained. He smiled a bit.
“He’s always been that way, he was a trouble maker right from the start,” Louis said going back to his food. I nodded slowly taking a few bites.
“What’s your story?” I asked curiously. He looked up at me for a moment. “Why did you rebel and get all tattooed up and stop following rules?” I asked. Louis let out a small sigh as he shoved a fork full of food in his mouth. He chewed it slowly looking out to his yard. He swallowed and looked back at me.
“My parents divorced when I was about 7,” he stated. I put down my fork nodding giving him my full attention. “I didn’t like that they split and being so young I was confused by it. My mum found a new guy but I didn’t like him. By 12 I started developing an attitude that I only ever took out on him. At 13 I ran away from home only to be brought back by the police. My step dad always tried to discipline me but it only ever made me madder because he’s not my dad and I didn’t feel like he had a right to tell me what to do,” he explained. I nodded again watching him closely.
