My head is pounding as I walk around Eric's house. The music is too loud and the smoke is making me almost cough up a lung.
The whole groups been partying like crazy and since Anita isn't here I've been in the mix of it all. But it's almost becoming too much.
I shake my head & walk up the stairs slamming the door. I open my eyes and see a woman stumbling around the room.
" What the fuck are you doing in here ?" I yell snatching her.
I throw her out the room and sit down rubbing my head. My head is spinning and the liquor I've drank isn't making it any better.
The door opens again and I look up to see yella. Shirtless with scratches on his back.
His smile disappears when he looks at me.
" You okay Stoney? " he asks shutting the door quietly.
I nod my head yes. He sits down I can't help but smack my lips. Can this nigga not take a hint?
" damn ok. " he says laughing. I lean back into the chair and fold my arms.

" y'all have houses too don't you? Why does every fucking party have to be at Eric's ? Fuck!" I get up storming passed him swinging open the door. I bump into Eric's chest and he's smiling.
" hey baby. " he grabs me I push him and go down the hall pushing through the huge crowd of people. And naked women.
I quickly get in Christians car and speed away. I reach my house in no time and see a limo parked outside. I turn my head to the side confused. I shrug parking getting out. I unlock the door and walk in closing it. Putting my head on the door.
" Hi baby. " I jump and turn around to see Anita.
" hey mom. " I say rubbing my head. She's finally back from her honeymoon. She grabs me and hugs me tight. Christian comes out and does the same.
" You doing okay?" She asks smiling. I nod my head.
" What's been going on kiddo?" Christian asks smiling. I shake my head. Walking upstairs not even wanting to talk I feel too nauseous.
I get to my room and fall face first in my bed. I hear footsteps and my door opens.
" What's the matter baby girl? " I let out a loud groan. I hear sniffing and she smacks her lips. She goes into my bathroom and I hear loud water running.
She comes over next to me and grabs me taking me to the bathroom.
I open my eyes and she has her arms folded with a bitch face.
I look over and see the tub filling up with bubbles. I exhale and get undressed quickly getting in the tub covering myself with the bubbles.
She sits down on the toilet staring at me.
" Mom can you go please ?" I say sinking in the tub even more.
" I've seen that naked body more than Eric has. " she says laughing. I roll my eyes at the sound of his name. I sink fully under water for a minute rubbing all the makeup off my face.
I come back up and grab my towel drying my face off.
" still here. " she says cocking her head to the side.
I ignore her looking around the bathroom as if it's a new scenery.
" You look good. A tan and all. " I say smiling trying to change the subject.
She moves her hair out of her face.
" And you look like shit. "
" gee thanks. "
" what is going on? This is the last time I'm asking you. "
" I've just been stressed. "
" Why? There's a party going on at Eric's. We seen it when we -"
" yes I know. I just came from there. That's all they've been fucking doing. " I say scooting up putting my knees to my chest.
" And you're tired of it ? "
" I just. It was fun at first mom but now it's too much. I rarely see him now , women are always all over him. We never spend time together we haven't had sex in forever I just don't know what to do. " tears begin to fall and I quickly wipe them away looking at the tub.
" Have you told him ?"
I let out a sigh snd dunk back under water. But this time when I come up she's no longer there. I get out and put on my robe jumping into bed.
The next day.
I wake up looking at the clock. It' reads 1:00 pm.
Shit. I mumble to myself I get out of bed going to my bathroom taking aspirins.
I brush my teeth and wash my face & brushing my hair so I won't look too dead.
I come out my room and slide my feet down the hall to moms room. She's sitting on her bed watching TV.
I crawl into bed with her and lay in her lap. She begins to stroke my hair.
" no work today?"
I shrug my shoulders. I don't care about working anymore especially for Eric.
She lifts me up and I know I'm about to get lectured.
" You need to keep a job. We're not gonna be those women to live off of a rich husband. " she says folding her arms.
She has a point.
" I know. "
" Eric's your boss when you're at work. Not your boyfriend babe. " she kisses my forehead and I nod my head.
" go get dressed. " she says pushing me out of her bed.
I roll my eyes going back to my room.
I put on shorts and a white t shirt putting my hair down. I keep my face bare so my pores can breathe. These past few weeks I've been caking on makeup.
I skip down the stairs to see Christian.
" Can I take the car ?"
He nods his head hanging up pictures. I grab the keys and go outside.
I pull up to the ruthless company. And take a deep breath in.
I start walking towards the building and when I get in everyone stares at me.
" Late again. Better be careful. " a girl says winking. I don't even bat an eye I walk right past her.
I go to my office sitting down starting on my paperwork.
" Long night ?" Meg asks smiling.
" you could say that. " I mumble.
" Oh Eric wanted to see you. " my heart sinks but I ignore her and continue my work.
" Stoney?"
" mmm?"
" Eric wants to see you. He said its urgent. "
"Oh. " I say back.
I can feel her staring at me but I don't even look up. My phone rings and I hit the button putting it on speaker.
" Hello welcome to ruthless records Stoney speaking. "
" Come to my office. " I hear Eric's voice. And Meg stares at me with her arms folded.
" whatever. " I say laughing. I get on the elevator and wait. Humming the music. It stops on the top floor and I walk to Eric's office opening the door.
" you don't knock?"
" you called me. " I say folding my arms.
" what's your problem? "
He says inhaling.
" I'm just trying to work sir. " I say Forcing a smile. He raises his eyebrow and gives a light laugh.
" anything you need ?"
" nah. You can leave. " I stand up straight looking at him.
" goodbye. Get back to work. " he says looking through papers. I roll my eyes and walk out of his office slamming the door. I hear footsteps and he swings open the door snatching me slamming against the wall.
" What are you -"
" don't be slamming doors around this bitch like you own the place. "
" fuck you Eric. " he steps back. Looking at me up and down.
He waves his hand in front of my face.
" Leave. You're done for the day. "
" what'?"
" you can't hear now? Done. D. O. N. E. Done. Leave. " he walks in his office closing his door. I stand there dumbfounded. I finally close my mouth and speed walk towards the elevator.

I get to the last floor and I see Meg as soon as I get out of the elevator.
" what happened ?" She asks walking towards me I bump into her on purpose running for the door towards Christians car.
I can't even put the key in my hands are shaking. I put my head on the steering wheel. Letting the tears fall.
I jump hearing a knock on the window. I look and it's cube.
I roll down the window.
" what?"
" you good?" I just stare at him.
" unlock the door. " he says walking in front of the car to the other side. I pop the lock and he slides in and turns to me.
