Episode/Chapter 5 - Undercover Part 2

"Who are we seeing?" Nightwing asked.

"Vandal Savage, Queen Bee, Sportsmaster, Cheshire, Ra's al Ghul, Black Manta, Deathstroke, Psimon, Lex Luthor, his assistant, the brain, and a bunch of League of Shadows warriors." Jet scanned the area.

"Any sign of Klarion?" Nightwing asked.

"Nope. Didn't show." Jet said.

"Then what now?" Batgirl asked.

"Patience." Soaren replied.

"So, any news on the Justice League?" Savage asked.

"Still searching and locating us." Psimon answered.

"And the team?"

"We have no clue." Sportsmaster said, "they've been everywhere. They're like vermin, only more annoying..."

"They're getting on us." Ra's al Ghul spoke up, "my grandson paid me and my guest a surprise visit. I invited my guest, but he hasn't arrived yet. If he decided not to show because of Damian, we'll be having some consequences..."

"Did you get that?"Jet asked Nightwing.

"Yep. So they have another partner..." Nightwing said.

"Chill." A voice said from the top of the balcony. Everyone looked up to see a dark gray figure with a glowing red x on his chest and mask. He jumped down and landed swiftly before the crowd of villains, "I'm already here.."

"Please, introductions." Savage said, his voice low and raspy.

"This is Red X." Ra's introduced, gesturing to the red an gray figure, "Red X, welcome to the Light."

"Pleasure's all mine." Red X said, and they could tell that he had an evil smirk behind his mask, "so anyways, who else are we expecting at this dump?"

"We're meeting a few youngsters." Savage said, "but before we do, any other announcements?"

"I have met with Brother Blood, leader of the new Cult in Jump City, from the dimension next door." Psimon spoke up, "they have agreed to our plan."

"Excellent." Savage said, "and where are we on the agent?"

"'Mr. J' doesn't like to be rushed, apparently." Queen Bee crossed her arms, "then again, if we want it to be the best it could be, we should let them take their time."

"Agent? Mr. J? Who and what are they talking about? And what does he mean about the dimension thing?" Night Owl asked.

"Ssshh..." Jet responded as he silently pulled out an audio recorder.

"What are they planning?" Speedy asked.

"That's why we're here." Batgirl answered, "to find out."

"Our Project C has commenced once again." Luthor said, "we have released our first experiment, in case you haven't heard on the news." Luthor said.

"We have. Excellent work, Lex." Savage said.

"Project C? Wonder what that is..." Soaren said, but then her voice trailed off when she saw a shadow against the moonlight's rays. She and the rest of their squad turned and looked up to see a tan about 19 year-old girl with black and brown hair standing above them, thankfully not seeing them, on the balcony. She climbed over the rail, then threw herself over the side. Night Owl gasped silently, expecting her to fall to the hard concrete and go 'splat'. But to hers and everyone else's surprise, she didn't. Soaren and Jet gasped and exchanged horrified glanced. Instead of falling like a rock, she started lowering herself down to the ground slowly in front of the Light...with her wings.
