Episode/Chapter 5 - Undercover Part 3

"Wh-what?!" Jet gasped. He and Soaren turned pale as they watched the tall girl with wings. Her wings looked like they were sprayed with some metallic-silver spray-paint, her wing-span about 12 feet long.

"And this is one of our new members?" Ra's Al Ghul asked as the girl, letting her wings cold halfway behind her, walked up next to Vandal Savage, her hair swept to one side so that it covered her left eye, making her look dark and menacing.

"Indeed. I have mentioned that I am a father myself. This is my daughter, Scandal Savage." Savage introduced his daughter, who just nodded in greeting. Silent.

"Who would want to marry HIM?!" Speedy asked.

"Wait..." Red X stopped everyone in their tracks. Everyone stared at him as he cupped his palm behind his ear to hear better. The squad immediately froze and didn't move a muscle. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, Red X turned, grabbed one of his red x boomerangs, and threw it straight at Night Owl, who was perched not too far from Jet and the Light. She fell down to the same floor the Light was on.

"Night Owl!!!" Jet shouted and immediately jumped down and ran to her side. She laid on the ground unconscious.

"Ah, look who came to join us! The newbies of the pep squad." Cheshire said.

"What do we do with them?" Sportsmaster asked.

Run. Jet gasped and looked around.

Who said that?! He asked.

That doesn't matter now. Take your girl and whoever else is with you and get out of here. The voice said.

Heh. No need to tell me twice. Jet smirked. He slowly got up and picked up Night Owl, carrying her bridal style.

"Hold them hostage. Draw out the rest." Savage said.

"That won't be happening." Jet smirked. A handful of League of Shadows warriors ran up to them, ready to grab them and tie them up. But at the last millisecond, Jet extended his midnight wings to their full span, then kicked off one of the warriors and pumped his wings fast to get off the ground.

"Ah, he has wings as well." Savage chuckled, "well, two can play at that game."

"Do you want us to take 'em out?" Red X asked as he got out another boomerang and Mercy extended her robotic arm ready to shoot.

"No, that would be redundant." Savage said as he turned to his daughter, "Scandal?"

"Yes father." Her voice was like the opposite of Vandal Savage's. It wasn't rough and raspy, but smooth and alluring. She extended her silver wings and launched herself into the air, much faster than Jet. He looked back at her in horror, but was relieved to see Soaren fly in at the right moment and kick Scandal away from him.

"Everyone!! Let's move!!!" Jet yelled. Speedy shot a zip line arrow up to the balcony as Batgirl did the same with her grappling gun. They both flew up to the balcony and ran down the sewers the same way they came. But before leaving, Speedy shot an explosion arrow at Scandal, throwing her off balance. Then Batgirl threw a smoke bomb down at the Light. Alacrity ran down to where the Light was and started running circles around them. Soon, there was a giant ditch separating the Light and the exit. She ran up the walls and out of the sewers, following the rest of the squad back to the cave.

"How's Night Owl doing?" Jet asked.

"She's making a full recovery in the infirmary." Kid Flash answered as he and Nightwing stood before the team, "guess they really didn't need our help. They could really manage on their own." Kid Flash smiled to the newbies.
