Episode/Chapter 8 - Date Night Part 2

"H.O.J. Slash Watchtower. Bibbo's Diner. Override. Cave Communications, Impulse, B23, Priority Red!" Bart said into a communicator as fast as he could.

"Calling your little pep squad won't get you two outta this one." Klarion smirked, "so who's this? Your new girlfriend?"

"Maybe." Bart answered. He held out his fist to Christine and she saw the ring on his finger. She looked at her own hand at the ring he had given her, with a lightning bolt on it. She thought it was a present, but now she knew what it was for.

"So what? You're going to play the knight in shining armor in this story?" Klarion cackled, then snapped his finger, "Boooring..."

"Chris! Now!" Bart shouted, and she nodded. They both pressed a tiny button on the side of their rings and their suits flew out. They both changed into their suits in seconds flat, and before Klarion could do anything, they ran behind him and hit him forward.

"NO YOU STUPID BRATS!!!" Klarion screeched and directed some red bolts at them. They swiftly ran out of the way. Then Impulse and Alacrity heard their comms crackle,

"Impulse?" A female voice called through their comm.

"Oracle!" Impulse sighed.

"What's happening? Where are you guys? We got your warning!"

"Get Nightwing!" Alacrity said as they dodged more bolts.

"You know, Kiddies, looks like I'm going to have to kill one of the cutest couples on the team..." Klarion held up a ball of red energy, then threw it at them, miserably missing their heads after they had ran out of the way.

"Well too bad, Klarion, because you're never getting your wish!" Impulse yelled as he grabbed Alacrity and ran to the back of the restaurant so Klarion couldn't find them.

"What are you doing?! We have to go out there and fight him!"

"Well, there's nothing we can do without back-up." Impulse said, "besides, we already cleared everyone else out of the area. What more can we do against a lord of chaos?" He peeked out at where Klarion was looking for them, then pressed a button on his comm, "Oracle, we're at Bibbo's in Metropolis...get Nightwing here ASAP..."

"Uh, sorry Impulse...Nightwing, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Blue Beetle, and Robin are at the League of Shadows HQ in Taipei...there's no way they can get there to help out..." Oracle explained.

"Then can you please get SOMEONE over here?!"

"Oh, right. Of course." Oracle said, "um, who's the villain?"

"Klarion." Impulse peeked around the corner, "look, Oracle, we can't talk long. Just get someone over here that could take Klarion down..."

"Okay, I'm on it. Just stall, okay?"

Impulse turned to Alacrity, nodded, and they ran out.

"So why are you here Klarion?"

"I'm hungry! Can't I come here for some food?" Klarion smirked.

"Whatever, Klarion..." Alacrity rolled her eyes.

"You have no real reason to be here? Then get out and don't bother taking anyone or anything with you." Impulse ordered.

"And how do you think I'll respond to that?" Klarion cackled.

"Why are you really here? Just answer our question!!" Alacrity demanded.

"Fine, if you really must know..." Klarion shrugged, then he pointed a long, pale finger at Impulse, "I'm here to kill you."
