"Joseline Kyle?" Batman repeated.
"Yes. Daughter of Selena Kyle." Robin nodded, arms crossed.
"So what do you want with me?" Batman turned to Catgirl, who sat in the cage silently, eyes closed, legs crossed.
"Just to meet you. That's all." Catgirl responded, opening one eye to peer at him, "needed some questions answered."
"What questions?"
"I wanted to know how you guys never recognized me. I never went to Gotham Academy, yet you still managed to save me from that Red X dude..."
"Look, it was just us doing our job." Nightwing cut in.
"This is the other girl that escaped?" Supergirl asked.
"Huh..." Beast Boy nodded, "noted."
"Hmph. No need to take note of that." Robin huffed, "she's a thief, and takes off after her mother."
"My mother loves Batman. She really does." Catgirl turned to Robin, "as the saying goes, like father like son, like mother like daughter."
"What's your point here?" Jet asked.
"I've been trying to get through to someone." Catgirl fluttered her eyes at Robin.
"Uh..." Beast Boy stared at her, then at Robin, "seriously?! That's awkward... If your parents love each other, wouldn't that make you sib--?" But Beast Boy was cut off as soon as Batman and Robin both sent him death glares.
"Hmph." Catgirl smirked, "checkmate."
"So what are you going to do about it?" Robin walked up to the cage and glared at her, "the cat's in the bag!"
"But not for long." Catgirl said, "because like I said, like mother like daughter. I'm willing to make a bargain."
"And if I know Selena, she just betrays you in the end." Batman crossed his arms.
"But that's one thing. I'm actually willing to work with these children."
"Uh, note that some of us are older than you..." Beast Boy added, clearly annoyed, "why can't we just toss her out?"
"Because we're going to have to trust her."
"WHAT?!" Jet asked, turning to Robin, "she's a thief, and the daughter of a villain!"
"But we could always put her down if she doesn't cooperate." Robin glared at Catgirl as he walked up to the cage door, up to the number pad, and typed in the password. The door clicked, and he opened the door, "just keep that in mind." Robin glared at her as she got up and walked out.
"Thank you, Robin." Catgirl smirked.
"So what do we do with her now?" Nightwing asked.
"She could stay in one of the rooms." Robin said as he patted her back, but his hand stayed on her back for a little while longer than usual, and Nightwing clearly noticed.
"Thanks." Catgirl smiled, and Robin finally stepped away from her.
"Fine." Batman said, "Supergirl, show her to a new room."
Supergirl nodded and led Catgirl to her own room in the cave.
"This is a huge risk you're pulling here." Nightwing crossed his arms as he and Batman walked up to Robin.
"I know." Robin said plainly.
"And all for a crush?"
"What are you talking about, Grayson?"
"I saw that hand on her back." Nightwing said, "don't pretend. I see those things."
"Hmph." Robin smirked, "then clearly, you don't see all those things." Robin took out a device and showed Nightwing. There was a red flashing dot on it, "that was a tracker I put on her back."
"Wow..." Beast Boy chuckled, "haha, you just got---" But Nightwing glared at Beast Boy before he could finish his sentence.
"Okay. We're done here." Batman concluded as he headed for the Zeta Tubes.
"If something goes wrong, you're responsible." Nightwing pointed at Robin before following Batman.
"Geez, you just got told off, Man..." Beast Boy and Jet walked up to Robin, "the weight is on you now."
"Hm. Believe me, I have enough on my shoulders." Robin replied as he thought about the secret he's been keeping for months.
