Elijah POV
I strolled back through the cold stone corridors; slight burn marks on my clothes were easily hidden by the blood of the people I chased around before coming back. The large doors to the throne room stood before me as I took a deep breath. "I can hear you Elijah, come in." The door cracked open.
Hesitantly I took hold of the handle and slipped through, closing it behind me. Inside was the throne, sat on top of it was a rather unhappy looking Jensen. "And what happened to you? You have a responsibility to your maker, me, and I expect it to be fulfilled. The army won't make itself. Where were you?"
I gulped and spoke up. "I was chasing down my brother; I want revenge for what he took from me." Was I being too obvious? Would he know Katherine would be with Caleb? I hope not. "I had a fresh group of eligible humans brought in; I want you to turn them all." If Jensen kept having me turn people at this rate he'd have his army in no time.
Kathy POV
Something was strange out there. A few miles from the cabin we had found a large camping area; we had retreated into the smaller shower room area and had lit a small fire to heat up the place up. Being on the run sucks. Caleb had fell asleep about ten minutes ago, he looked so peaceful when he slept. As I watched him Stef managed to slide over beside me.
"Are you cold?" He put a hand on my arm, I shrugged it off. "I don't get cold anymore, remember. Technically neither will you." He recoiled the rejected hand and scooted closer to the small fire. "Caleb's been telling me more about what will happen. He's being really helpful, maybe I was how much of a dick I was if you're happy with him them I'm happy for you." He smiled up at me through the screen of hair I had dropped down.
"It's okay. I understand you were bitter about it. Hell I would be." This was the Stef I had missed. "You should get some sleep, who knows how long we'll be here." He nodded and laid his hoodie on the tiles before laying on it. "Kathy?" "Yeah?" "What happened the night you were... turned?" I thought back to that night.
The air was thick, as if a fog was about to roll in, as I walked through the streets of Belfast. I was late leaving Padres and I had a curfew, so I took a back alley. Parts of wooden slates and concrete slabs laid scattered across the pathway. The noises of shattering glass, cats and shouting rang so clear as you walked through it.
I was almost at the Main Street again when a figure dropped down from the two story buildings that surrounded it and blocked my path. I was pushed back into the alley. For a few minutes he just watched me before shaking his head and attacking. I thought he was going to bleed me out when another person appeared and made him leave.
By this point I was nearly dead so he made me better, he fed me his blood. Shortly after I jumped up, it was like I was on ecstasy, then he snapped my neck. I woke up a few hours later in my bed.
Stef continued to watch me. "Oh, sorry, Ummm. It was in April when I left Padres late." He nodded and rolled over. Soon soft snores filled the room, but I wasn't too tired so I could take first watch.
