"Travel safe," Clara gave Maddox a big hug and ran her fingers through his hair. "You can call anytime, no matter what time it is wherever we are," she told him.

"I know, Mom," Maddox tried to give her his most reassuring smile. He was about to leave London to go back to his own tour and be on his own for the first time. Not that he was really on his own at all since the only person missing would be Justin. "I'm gonna be fine, I'll be with Scooter."

"That's what scares me," Clara winked at him.

"I'm right here," Scooter protested.

"It's 4 days," Maddox said.

"4 days and 3 different cities," Justin spoke up. "That's a lot of chances for things to go wrong."

"You know, I kept you alive when you were his age," Scooter pointed out. Justin laughed.

"And look how I turned out," Justin was joking but Maddox rolled his eyes.

"Okay, well, we're going to miss our flight," Maddox said.

"It's our plane," Justin laughed but gave Maddox a hug. "Take care of yourself, Dax. We love you."

"Love you too," Maddox hugged Justin and turned to look for Kylie.

"She's with her tutor," Clara said. Maddox went into the bedroom to find his sister. She wasn't skyping with her tutor after all but playing guitar.

"Bend this finger more, it helps," Maddox tried to move Kylie's finger for her. Kylie sighed and pushed the guitar away.

"Whatever, I was just messing around," she shrugged. "Are you leaving?"

"Yeah," Maddox nodded. Kylie stood up to hug him and Maddox sighed when he saw that her pants were hanging off her hips and there were almost 6 inches of her stomach showing. "Why do you hate shirts?"

"This is a shirt," she protested, tugging at her top.

"It doesn't cover you," Maddox poked her stomach. "Ouch," he hadn't expected to hit her abs.

"That's what you get," Kylie told him and gave him a big hug. "Have fun."

"I'll try," Maddox sighed. He didn't actually think he would have much fun at all. Things with Jackson were still awkward.

"Well I'll be there in like 2 days and we'll really have fun then," Kylie grinned at him.

"Right, okay," Maddox laughed. "Love you."

"You too," Kylie sat down again and Maddox went out to say goodbye to his parents one more time before he and Scooter got on their flight back to the States.

The next day went by so fast it was hard to even notice that Justin was missing. It wasn't until Maddox was getting ready to go on stage that he really felt like he wanted his dad there, just to reassure him.

But as always, Maddox was totally fine as soon as he got in front of his fans. He didn't have any trouble tuning out everything on his mind and giving what he thought was one of his best shows so far. When he finished the show and got changed he heard Scooter promising Justin that everything was fine.

"I'm serious, Justin, I might even say this was his best show yet," Scooter was saying. Maddox grinned and grabbed the phone.

"Dad, you should be sad you're not here," Maddox said. "I killed it."

"That's what everyone says," Justin sighed. "I'm proud of you, Dax, and I am sad I missed it."

"Stop worrying," Maddox said. "Love you, bye," he hung up before he handed the phone back to Scooter.
