"Finally," Wes said.

"Finally," Luke nodded.

They were laying in their hotel bed, facing each other, their legs tangled in the sheets. Wes kept looking at the ring on his hand. Every time he blinked he felt like he had to look again to be sure it wasn't all a dream.

"We're really married," Wes said.

"I can change my name," Luke said.

"That's so crazy," Wes smiled. "Luke, we got married!"

"I know!" Luke laughed.

"How long have you been planning this?" Wes asked.

"A couple weeks," Luke said. "I started thinking about it when the doctor said you needed radiation."

"So when you said we should go away and you were all like "gee where do we go?" you already knew?" Wes realized.

"Yeah, I kind of figured you would pick Vegas," Luke said. "You've always been the romantic type."

"Shh," Wes said but he knew it was true and he loved that Luke knew him that well.

"Your parents were so excited," Luke said. "I was afraid everyone would tell me not to do it."

"And you got Dylan to come home," Wes said. "Wow, so that night at my parents' house you weren't really talking to my dad about his new car?"

"No, he handled all the paperwork for me," Luke said. "I was too scared to do anything at home in case you caught me or looked through the browser history."

"I've never checked your browser history," Wes laughed. "That's private."

"I know you wouldn't do it on purpose," Luke shrugged. "I was paranoid. And then earlier when you said you were going to say yes I thought you knew!"

"I had no idea," Wes shook his head. "Seriously, I thought you were going to propose. That's it."

"I'm glad it all worked out," Luke said. "I was so nervous."

"It was perfect," Wes said. "Everyone was there, you did such a good job."

"Is it what you wanted?" Luke asked.

"It's more than what I wanted!" Wes laughed. "I didn't have to plan anything or fight with mom about how it should be. All I did was show up."

"Okay," Luke said. "I wanted it to go well."

"It definitely did," Wes smiled. "I just can't believe it really happened! I've only wanted this since we were like 14."

"I know, and we finally have it," Luke kissed him. "Finally you're mine forever."

"All yours," Wes agreed, kissing him again. "I don't want this night to end!"

"Me neither," Luke said.

Wes lay there smiling at his ring and looking at Luke. It felt like they'd crawled into a safe little bubble - a comfy space where they didn't have to think about anything but each other. For a few hours Wes hadn't thought about being sick or worried about their baby.

Before he knew it, Wes was drifting off with Luke's hand in his.

Maddox woke up that morning mostly feeling exhausted. As soon as he felt Brent's arm reaching over him to silence the alarm he felt a lot better.
