He wasn't entirely sure how it happened. One second he was looking at his phone and the next he was on the floor.

"Dax?" Steve whispered, grabbing his arm. "What's wrong?"

"I'm good," Maddox said but Steve dragged him back up into his chair. He could see Jeff and Monroe's glares and everyone else's worried faces. Across the room, Brent and the rest of the band were smiling really hard. Zack coughed but it was obvious he'd just done it to cover his laugh.

"He fell asleep," Steve announced.

"Sorry," Maddox did feel tired, like maybe he could have fallen asleep. It sure sounded like a good idea. He put his head back against the wall. Steve stood there right next to him and Maddox knew it was closer than normal but he wasn't sure he cared.

It seemed like the interview was over really fast after that. Maddox hadn't managed to fall asleep but he really wanted to. Brent had his mic off and got across the room so fast Maddox felt like he was running though he knew he wasn't.

"Let's go take a nap," Brent pulled Maddox up.

"Okay," Maddox smiled at him. "I love you."

"I love you too," Brent kissed him as he slipped his arm around Maddox's waist. "We're good, Steve."

"Sure," Steve didn't back off. He followed them to their room, staying closer than usual. The rest of the band was there too, laughing and talking like they always did. Brent opened the door to their room.

"Look at our bed," Maddox gasped. "It's so big."

"Looks normal to me."

"No it's way bigger than always," Maddox insisted. "Guys look."

"You're like a little kid," Zack laughed but he and Adam followed Maddox into the room.

"Alright, well," Brent sounded like he wanted everyone to leave.

"You have to feel this blanket," Maddox realized when he reached the bed. "It's so soft."

"I really wish I had this on video," Adam said.

"Come on," Brent gave Adam a dirty look.

"Yeah, a video could not show how good this bed feels," Maddox said. "Oh my god, we have to buy these pillows."

"You can have all the pillows you want," Brent promised.

"Try this," Maddox ordered.

He closed his eyes, thinking he would open them again a second later but the next thing he knew he was waking up from what felt like the best nap of his life. Things were a little off because he'd fallen asleep on his side, facing Brent but still pressed right against his chest. Maddox stretched and tried to scoot away but he ran into someone.

"Ow," Adam's sleepy voice protested.

"Sorry," Maddox froze. He couldn't remember why Adam was there. All he remembered was climbing in bed.

"You okay?" Adam whispered.

"Yes," Maddox whispered back. He could feel Adam scooting off the end of the bed. Maddox rolled onto his back and sat up. "Oh," he discovered Zack was lying on the other side of the bed.

"Shh," Brent pleaded and rolled over, curling up like he always did when he wanted to be left alone.

"Oops," Adam mouthed at Maddox, smiling. Maddox scooted off the end of the bed and took one of the water bottles Adam was pulling out of the mini fridge. He wandered into the suite's sitting room and Adam followed him, shutting the door to the bedroom.
