"I need a favor," Maddox grabbed Eli's arm as they were walking to his meet and greet at Madison Square Garden that night.
"You know I will not have sex with you," Eli didn't look up from his phone. He was busy texting and with his earpiece in it looked like Eli was probably doing at least 9 things at once. Steve laughed.
"Honestly I wasn't going to ask that," Maddox rolled his eyes.
"One second," Eli said to whoever was on the other end of his headset. "What do you need, Dax?" he made it sound very much like Maddox was an annoying child.
"Trevor Malone is supposed to be here tonight," Maddox tried to say it casually. "If he doesn't come through my VIP Meet and Greet will you please find him and his friends and bring them back?"
"Hold on," Eli finally gave Maddox his full attention. "Why?"
"Because I met him last night and I want to hang out again," Maddox shrugged.
"Promise you're not going to try and sleep with him."
"Why do you care?"
"I'm not going to arrange your one night stands," Eli told him.
"But you don't mind buying my condoms or my lube or my underwear?"
"Don't be a brat, you know why that's different," Eli rolled his eyes.
"Just find me Trevor and all his friends."
"Yes, Maddox," Eli sighed and turned his attention back to whatever he'd been doing before.
Fortunately Maddox didn't have to rely on Eli to go find Trevor after all because he and his friends showed up for the VIP meet and greet. Maddox actually did feel nervous while he was posing for pictures with them but he forced himself to get through it.
"Okay, what are you doing after this?" Trevor asked.
"I haven't really decided yet," Maddox shrugged.
"You should come over, I think we're all going to my place after the show. I'll give the address to your bodyguard."
"Sure," Maddox nodded. "I'll try to stop by," he shrugged, knowing he would definitely be there.
Trevor's apartment turned out to be a gorgeous loft in the Meatpacking District. Maddox was jealous before he even got into the apartment.
"We didn't think you'd make it!" Trevor barely let Maddox off the elevator before he shoved a glass of wine into his hand. "Let me introduce you to everyone," he linked his arm through Maddox's.
Maddox tried as hard as he could to remember everyone's names this time. Some of the guys he recognized from the night before but some he hadn't met.
"Everyone loved the show," Trevor told him, finally letting Maddox sit down. "Seriously, you are so great with your fans. I can't imagine how tired you must get of them hanging on you all the time."
"It's really not so bad," Maddox prayed Trevor wouldn't keep talking about it. That morning Tim had presented Maddox with a copy of Us Weekly that featured an entire two page spread full of pictures of Maddox kissing about 10 different guys. He'd felt sick just looking at it and the feeling was coming back now that Trevor was talking.
"That's so sweet," Trevor smiled. "I wish I were that patient, I just like my space too much. Anyway," he changed the subject and Maddox tried to relax.
The thing was, Maddox hadn't hung out with a group of people his own age since he and Brent broke up and even then it wasn't like the other guys in Complexx really had a chance to judge him - they seemed to accept him right away because of Brent. Being around Trevor was the first time maybe in Maddox's entire life he'd tried to make friends with people who had no reason to like him.
