"I'm so sorry I didn't tell you this before" he said with a sympathetic expression
"Okayyy" Dania said lingering on the y "I don't like the sound of that but I'll pretend I do because I'm working on being optimistic-" she was babbling when Ahmed cut her
"My c-cancer...it's...it's back" he said controlling the tears that were ready to fall.
She was just still, she didn't move for what felt like ages, it felt like all the air was being sucked out of her lungs, unlike Ahmed she didn't control her tears.
"N-No,n-no, this can't be happening. There might be a way to stop it. Some treatment, something Ahmed something" she sniffed and screamed although she knew that what she was saying wasn't possible. She had something to tell him too but it was something good.
She sniffed again
"W-We're expecting again" she said so lightly that Ahmed barely heard it. This time no matter how much he tried the tears won't stop.
They both just sat there for a good 30 minutes. Just sitting there, in each other's arms, both unable to even say a word, both crying because they couldn't do anything. Yes, he was going to go through treatment but it was really bad, more bad than they had thought and he was sure that after some time he would even forget that he had a wife. So, both of them decided to spend the time they had together happily....as happily as they could. Even if it wasn't that long
