Chapter 24

"Are you happy?" Dania said kissing her daughter's cheeks
"YES!" she screamed

She let out a sigh of relief when she sat down. She almost forgot what it was like to be happy until she came back to her mother's.

A few weeks ago she called her brother, the one who had just got married and went to England.
"Hey. How are you?" She scratched her forehead.
"I'm fine. And you? Is everything alright? Do you need something?"
he piled her up with questions and she gave out a confused chuckle.
"Actually yeah...um....I" She hesitated though she always was her big brother's little girl
"Just say it will you?" He said sounding amused
"I was thinking maybe we could sell this house and move to another one. You know because it isn't that big and..and"
"That isn't the real reason you wanna move out is it?"
Oh god, she thought to herself. They just know me too well.
"That is one of them" she said, biting her lip "actually it's just that Amna has a new bicycle and it's just the stupidest thing ever. You know what lets just..just forget it? How is everything else?"she tried to change the topic.
"I'm fine, alive and everything else is fine too and I want to know the reason because I'm not forgetting it. It won't be stupid to me"
"Amna doesn't have enough place to ride her bicycle here" she said. Oh god she was very embarrassed. In her defense she had been raised like a little princess.
He laughed so loudly on the phone that Dania had to distance her ear from the phone.
"What? I told you it's stupid and now you're laughing at me" she pouted like a child although she did know he couldn't see her
"No no it's not that. You're just so cute. It's nothing okay. I'll talk to an agent and we'll start looking for houses tomorrow"

And here she was after a few weeks in her new house with her mother, Zahid and his wife, watching Amna ride her bicycle. Wow. She missed this

And then it came, the name appeared on her phone's screen, the name she didn't wish to see.

Farhan.

"Oh god. Not now when I'm starting to actually feel happy" she mumbled to herself.
No no no. You're not going to cry. You're strong enough to handle this. Talk to them and let them know you don't want anything to do with those monsters. You have to do this
She thought to herself
"Hey" she picked up and said
"Hey"
It's getting awkward...she thought
"Look" they both said at the same time and then laughed
"You go first" Dania said
"Look I just wanted to ask for your permission for something"
This was getting weird fast
"What is it?" She was getting irritated
"Can I bring Amna home for a couple of hours today? Everybody at home misses her a lot. I'll drop her back before 9. I promise"
"I...I need some time to think"
"Take all the time you want. In case you change your mind. Just text me"
"Okay" and with that she hanged up

What do I do? Should I let her take him. I mean they will return her before 9. Maybe this way I'll get to end things with them on a good note. I don't like fighting either way. Yeah maybe this is for good. For once lets just not overthink this and trust my instinct. Yeah, I'll let him take her. After all, he's her uncle

"You can pick her up at 7" she texted him
