"Yes, I know you can do this baby...anddddd yayyyyy. Mom did you see that? Amna just took her first step" Dania screamed in happiness addressing her mother-in-law.
"Yes, I saw that" Ahmed's mom said. She really loves Amna there was no denying that but she was still very bitter towards Dania and she never understood why.
She even blamed her for Ahmed's sickness.
That night Amna was very restless, she wouldn't sleep not even for a second she kept tossing and turning in her crib and started crying every 10-15 mins.
The next morning Dania went to see Ahmed which she often did no matter how much it hurt her, Amna had to be familiar with her father because Dania knew he wouldn't be there for long. She tried very hard to pretend that everything was alright but she couldn't, it was just too difficult to pretend, that was when she asked herself
who am I pretending this for? And then she remembered that she was pretending all of this for Amna, so that she wouldn't feel that she would not be with her father for long but her daughter needed to see the truth too.
Yes, she was too little to understand but Dania believed that she had to train Amna from this age to be a strong woman.
When she came back from the hospital even she felt like something was wrong and that's when it happened, that is when her world collapsed. That was when her brother-in-law who loved Ahmed a lot came in with the most horrified expression. If Dania wasn't as worried as him she would've laughed at him. "Ahmed....he" he was breathless. "N-No. Please please don't complete the sentence"
Eid Mubarak! I'm so sorry I couldn't upload yesterday I was so busy with chaand raat and all. So what did you all think of this chapter? What did you think happened at the end. Okay okay I know it's very obvious but still you know... I'm just focusing on Dania's life more because she is the main character in life happens and her life has been the main story in my mind for very long so it's not a change of plans because I couldn't think of anything.
