Jinyoung's POV

When the wood elementalists slipped out of Mark's room, JYP called me and the five other boys inside. We all did and I was holding the breakfast we set aside for Mark.

Once inside the room, I placed the tray of food on Mark's bedside table and I help him sit so he can eat.

"How are you feeling?" I asked him.

"Better," he replied with a smile.

The three maknaes once again insisted they feed Mark and I let them. They really want to take care of him so why not just let them be?

While the three of them were sitting in front and beside Mark, I crawled up the bed to sit on his other side. Jaebum and Jackson sat themselves on the couch near the bed.

I think I dozed off because the next thing I knew Mark was shaking my shoulders and telling me to wake up. He was no longer eating and the other boys were huddled over the cozy couch and beanbags on the right side of Mark's bed.

"I fell asleep?" I asked Mark in a hush voice.

"Yeah. I want to let you sleep longer but JYP said to wake you up," he replied. "Still sleepy? Want to lean on me?"

"Nope, I'll just sleep again later," I told him after letting out a shameless yawn. By this time I was already sitting on the bed like him, our backs against the headboard. "What did he want anyway?"

"I dunno. Oh here he is," he said and the door opened then JYP walked in.

"Hi boys," JYP greeted. "I know you're still tired from yesterday but we need to talk." He walked towards the chair infront of Jackson and Jaebum and sat himself.

"What about hyung?"

"About yesterday, ofcourse."

Silenced passed. I know everybody was still overwhelmed with the fact that we barely made it on yesterday's battle. Maybe if it weren't for Mark and for the reinforcements it could have been the end of us.

What's more disappointing is the fact that they see us as the seven boys to save the entire race of elementalists but we were so close to dying and crushing their hopes last night.

"Mark, I've been meaning to ask you something," he started, "Was that the first time it happened to you? The first time you lose control over your powers?" he asked. All attention shifted to Mark. The said boy looked a bit uncomfortable about the question coz he bit his lip and looked away.

Everybody was looking expectantly at him, waiting for his reply. I can sense the struggle in him so I reached out and grabbed his hand, squeezing it lightly to encourage him.

"I don't think so," he finally breathed out. "That... that night, on our parents' death, I'm not really sure but I think during that time was the first occurrence," he softly explained.

"What do you mean?"

Mark let out a sigh before he answered. "T-that night we were overwhelmed by hunters, they w-were closing in around me and Yugyeom," he closed his eyes as if trying to remember the details when in fact I know he was trying to will himself not to breakdown in front of our friends. Every memory of that nightwas just too painful for him and all I can do was to hold his hand tight as he dig into those grim images of his past.

"T-the last thing I could remember after that was the burning feeling all over my body and a flash of red then everything went black. The very same thing that had happened last night" he continued, his voice shaking.
