Chapter Thirty

Kratos and Lucifer are sitting together at a small restaurant in down town Berlin. They are dressed darkly and wearing low hats to cover their faces.

“What is it that you have found, Lucifer?” Kratos questions in a dark, low voice.

Earlier that day, after Lucifer had lost track of Lia and Aaron, Lucifer looked into where Aaron and Lia could be staying in Germany. After countless mysterious phone calls, scanning through different files, and a lot of different rental houses/hotels, Lucifer had finally found out where Lia and Aaron where staying. The apartment was booked for a whole two weeks, and then suddenly was available again. That’s how Lucifer knew. It was a small, colorful apartment. Before the apartment could be cleaned for the new renters, Lucifer had broken in. Inside, he had found many things. Money, a few clothes, but most importantly, their passports. In his pocket, in the restaurant, Lucifer was now caring the two passports.

Lucifer puts his hand in his pocket, discretely pulls out the two navy blue, American passports, and slides them both across the table. Kratos grabs them and flips through the pages. He thoroughly scans them for any important information about Lia and Aaron.

“So, Sir Kratos, without their passports, where do you think that they are?” Lucifer asks.

Kratos looks up from the passports and straight into Lucifer’s eyes.

“Well, it looks like they are stuck in Germany. But I will tell you this, Lucifer. Lia and Aaron are stupid little kids, but they will figure out how to escape Germany soon. We should keep looking for them. By we, I mean you Lucifer. I don’t search for people, I just kill them.” Kratos says and slaps a ten dollar bill on the table. He gets up, walks out of the restaurant, and disappears in the crowd of people.
