Chapter Two

LIA'S POINT OF VIEW

"Don't move" the voice whispers in my ear. The voice is raspy and dark. I can tell it is a man because the voice is so low. I close my eyes, hoping that when I open them I will be back at home, in my bed, and this would all just be a dream. I open them again. I wish it was a dream. But it's not. How could an innocent little game of Truth or Dare end up to this? No, no, no, no! This is all wrong! This man would probably kill me in the next 24 hours. Have you ever watched Criminal Minds? Yeah, that is what is going to happen. And the ending is not going to be happy.

"Get away from me!" I whisper, but it can be heard around the whole forest. The strange man's grip gets tighter. A cloth is brought up to me nose and I instantly black out.

I blink a few times, adjusting to the lighting. Where am I? I begin to remember what happened earlier. I sat curled up in a ball and begin to cry.

"Shhhh. It's okay" I hear an unfamiliar boy's voice say to me. I looked up, showing my red, tear stained face. The boy in front of me looked about my age, around 15. He has light, light brown hair and grey eyes. He looks me in the eyes, waiting for me to respond to him. Well how am I supposed to respond? How could he tell me that "it's okay"? Are you kidding me? I have no idea where I am, where my friends are, if they are okay, and my parents are going to kill me if these people don't do it before them. All I see around me were dark grey walls and no windows, so basically a box. How could anything possibly be okay?Who is he anyways?

I want to yell at him. But I can't. Words won't come out of my mouth. I am scared, and worried, and honestly just want to go home. After a while of just staring into his stormy grey eyes, I manage to say "Where am I?"

"My father is the one who took you in the forest. He is friends with your father. You see, it was all planned." He simply states, as if it is the most obvious thing in the world.

"Ex-Excuse me? I, I don't seem to understand." I tell him, unable to comprehend with what he was telling me.

"You, me. We are all part of it. We have to stop something evil. This 'evil something' will be explained to all of in the next few days. We now are going to attend training." He says and gets up from beside me, about to leave.

"Where are my friends?" I manage to mumble.

This boy turns back to look at me and begins to reply. "They were brought back home. They tried telling your parents that you were taken away, but your father assured them that you were okay an being grounded for going into the forest after curfew." He starts to walk away when he finishes speaking. Without even turning back to me, he speaks once more.

"By the way, my name is Aaron Hale. I didn't seem to catch yours." He says.

"Lia. Lia Blair." I answer hesitantly.

And with that, he leaves the room. How can he leave me alone here? I run up to the door that he just exited to. I try to open the door, but I am locked in. I furiously keep on turning the door nob. The door will not budge. For a few hours I yell, kick the walls, and threaten these people to show themselves. My throat burns from crying and screaming at the same time. I continue to attempt to open the metal door. I am trapped in this prison. I lean against the wall and sink down to the floor with defeat. I am so tired, afraid. My eyes ache from crying. With all these things overwhelming me and silent tears still running down my cheek, I find myself unwillingly drifting back into a deep sleep.
