Chapter Thirty-Seven
"Oooo! Look! That looks like a cute resort!" I point out the small building to Aaron.
Aaron nods at my childish excitement. I look at him and smile. I can see a small smirk forming on his lips as he looks down at his feet as the step on the white sand. Although he is looking down, I see the bluish grayish green color. I think about the first time I saw those eyes. I chuckle a bit under my breath at this thought. The first time I saw him, I hated him. Absolutely hated him. To start things off, he basically helped kidnapped me. Who wouldn't hate the person THAT SEEMED LIKE HE WAS GOING TO END YOUR LIFE AT ANY SECOND? Well little did I know about the whole Kratos story, but still. Then, once I learned about what was really happening, all Aaron seemed to me was a conceited, full of himself teenage boy. He seemed the type who, if in school, would be popular and get all the girls. Now let me tell you, I have something really against those type of people. Slowly, slowly, Aaron became nicer and nicer. He was always there for me...saving my life a few times but let's just forget about that for now and admire that later. I don't know what it is, but now, Aaron seems...Different. And not different in a bad way. Oh, no, no, no. Different in the best way. I can't really explain what it is nor can I explain what I mean by the "best way" because I don't even know what I mean buy it, and I'm the one who said it. It's confusing, though I can't say that I'm against it. But no way am I going to tell Aaron this.
I notice that Aaron's face is coming closer and closer to mine. I ask notice that I have been staring at him. Wait a minute...Aaron's face is coming closer to mine?! What is he planning to do?! Uh oh.
No.
Yes.
No.
Yes.
"Lia, take a picture, it will last longer." He whispers in my ear.
WHAT?!
Oh.
Oops.
Oh two can play this "I'm too good for you game."
"Woah there. You think I was staring and you? Ha! There is something on your face and I was trying to figure out what it was." I say with a sly smirk playing on my lips. I watch Aaron's face turn red.
"Uh huh sure. We all know you are into me." Aaron replies.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night."
Aaron and I approach the small resort. And then it hits me.
"Aaron? How are we supposed to pay for the room when anything we had is now in the bottom of the ocean?!" I question him.
"Oh." Is all Aaron says.
'Oh' is correct.
"Well it seems like it is time to rob a bank. C'mon, let's go." I tell Aaron. Why is life so complicated nowadays?
