Chapter Twenty-Two
Next step of our plane: Get past boarding without a boarding pass. How are we going to do that? Well let’s just say that the security guard uniform gives you a lot of authority.
I act casual and stand in line as if I am waiting to board the plane. Which, I am, but I am not really standing in line for it….If that even makes any sense. Anyways, I am waiting for Aaron’s next move.
The next person moves up the line and I will be next.
Come on Aaron, come on
As if he could hear my thoughts, Aaron comes in his stolen uniform and tries to get the flight attendant standing behind the counter’s attention.
“Excuse me?” Aaron says, still using an accent, but this time it has a slight British ring to it. I pretend not to care about what is happening and look away. From the corner of my eye, I observe them closely.
The flight attendants in their mid-twenties bat their eyelashes at Aaron. The fact the Aaron looks mature for his age and the fact that he is very good looking also does help.
“Yes, sir?” One of them replies.
Aaron puts on a flirtatious face and whispers quietly in her ear.
“Someone sent me to tell you that you are needed in Gate 3. Don’t worry, I’ll stay here and the flight won’t leave for another hour. But make sure to talk to me once you come back.” Aaron says with a smirk on his face. The flight attendant blushes and nods. She runs down to Gate 3, probably wanting to get back to Aaron as fast as she can.
Just as rehearsed. The plan is going well so far.
Aaron looks at me and takes me to the side to make sure I have no weapons or anything dangerous I might want to take on the plane. Well, at least it looked like he was doing that. In reality, he is just trying to confuse the people, if any, watching me in case they are to notice I don’t really have a passport. Aaron lets me go through into the tunnel leading into the plan. I smile and smiles in return.
“Have a nice flight, miss!” He tells me. I nod in reply and walk down to the plane.
I enter the large metal object and am greeted by a flight attendant. She is wearing lip stick to red for her skin color, a dark blue shirt and blazer, and a red button down top.
“Excuse me, where is your boarding pass?” She questions me. I can hear a Chinese accent in her voice.
“Oh, it’s with my father. He already entered the plane.” I lie. Lies are starting to come so easily to me. I don’t think that is a good thing.
With a raised eyebrow, she nods hesitantly. She allows me to pass by. I walk all the way to the very end of the plane, since those most likely are the only vacant seats on the plane. Lucky for me, a man is sleeping in the row in front. I don’t think that he will wake up for the rest of the flight. He can be my father that took my boarding pass if the flight attendant ever comes back.
I put on my seat belt and look out the window and wait anxiously for Aaron.
What if he gets caught? What will I do?
Aaron’s plan was simple. After letting a few more passengers into the flight, he was going to use th intercom and call for another flight attendant. Before the attendant would be able to read the gate, he would already be inside the plane. And if the plan went well, Aaron would be here right about…now.
Once again, as if Aaron can read my thoughts, he is standing right in front of me. He sits next to me and I can see him smiling.
“I see the plan went well. What are you smiling about?” I ask Aaron.
He pulls out his hand from his pocket and shows me it.
I start laughing.
On the palm of his hand, in messy handwriting written in smudgy blue ink, is the flight attendant from the gate’s phone number.
I shake my head disapprovingly and continue to chuckle.
Soon enough, the plane begins to take off.
