chapter two. . .
shadow world

MALIA HAD SAT through the performance of Maureen and Simon and she enjoyed it, just like everyone else. It wasn't such a small gig, the place they performed in was packed full of people and it seemed that their duo probably would go far with their music. That's what Malia thought as they walked back to the van that was going to get graffitied by Clary Fray.

Since they were coming up with a new band name that was stranger than the one before. Champagne Enema. It meant a new design for their truck. Malia was the first to reach the doors, and she pulled them open, seeing nothing but darkness in the van as she placed her bag in there. She couldn't see much since it was so dark, and the neon lights from the pandemonium didn't seem to be making much of a difference.

Malia had grabbed the spray paints that belonged to Clary, knowing she was going to need it.  "Thanks for being our roadie." Maureen thanked as she looked at the redhead.

"Yeah, and thank you for being our artist in residence." Simon added as he took off his shirt willing to change into a different one, and all Maureen could do was stare which Malia noticed and couldn't help but smirk.

"Of course. So, you went on stage tonight as Champagne Enema." Clary said as she walked over to the side of the van, with her spray paints.

"What were we thinking, right?" Maureen asked leaning against the door.

"But now...we're Rock Solid Panda." Simon concluded on the name they finally picked, but yet it still wasn't something normal you'd hear.

"Where do you get these names?" Malia questioned as she looked at Simon, who shrugged his shoulders. Usually they sit down and put names together and she always questioned how those names came about and how exactly they put them together.

"Rock Solid Panda coming up. I'm feeling inspired." Clary said as she grabbed a spray can and shook it rapidly getting ready to do some graffiti.

Malia had watched as Clary spray painted the yellow canvas, and she smiled at it. Art was once her thing, and she was known as being good at it, but it was more sketching than drawing which Clary does better than her. Finally Clary took steps back away from the van as soon as she was done, and Malia smiled impressed with her graffiti. But Malia's eyes flickered to a symbol, she arched her brows as she stood closer to it, her heel hitting the ground. "Shadowhunter." She whispered to herself.

"What's that tag?" Simon asked, her head turned to look at Simon, she stepped away from the van and joined his side, forgetting about what she just said.
