chapter four. . . city of bones
◇
CLARY HAD A focusand it was finding Dot, not caring about who was far behind or close. But the group of people who followed to find Dot did try their best to keep up with her. But Malia was beginning to feel tired and annoyed at the fact that Clary wasn't giving them much information about what she was seeing and how she was seeing it. But the same feeling that Malia had not along ago had stayed with her, as they wondered through the dark streets of New York, at the time you're most likely to see muggers out there prepared to snatch the bag you had in your hands.
Malia however on her run, plead that Dot was alive and safe, but the feeling that filled the pit up in her stomach made her think differently. The brunette glanced over her shoulder to look at her best friend, who was trying to understand what's going on.
Clary had come to a stop causing the rest to do the same as they studied her, wondering what else she saw as her skinny fingers landed on the oddly shaped purple crystal, causing a gasp to escape her lips. The redhead now saw another vision of Dot running away from Circle members who were keen on getting to her before she got a message to anybody, she knew.
Running after the teen wasn't the highlight of anyones night. Especially since she was following a necklace, that gave her clues which didn't make sense to Malia. "Dot!" Clary began running, causing the others to follow after her with speed, trying their best to keep up with her.
Ben sprinted ahead to catch Clary wanting her to stop and talk to them about what she was seeing. "Clary, stop! Where are you going?"
"Two men, Circle members...the same one who came to my house, who took my mum. They have Dot. They're gonna hurt her or kill her. We have to stop them!" She sprinted off her into the Pandemonium, the place where Malia had her first encounter with a demon.
The group entered into the club, that was deserted, confetti scattered on the floor and glasses placed on the counters, as if people had just left. Malia looked at Clary in confusion, no one was about, and there was no sign of Dot, even as their eyes scanned the club, they knew no one was there and it was just them. "No. She was trying to help me." Clary exclaimed, she turned around and grabbed hold of her necklace hoping to see another vision, but the crystal never glowed again underneath her touch. "Now, she's gone."
"Guys, I'm sorry." Simon said sadly.
Malia however still felt linked to Dot, as if she was still there, and that she wasn't dead. "You don't understand. Dot's like a big sister..."
